I have no idea what to do with my hair on the day, My hair is really thick and naturally curly so if i have it styled in any way one gust of wind and thats it. I want my hair up but my mum says i should have it down as i always wear my hair up. i dont like veils or tiara's .. they just dont suit me at all.
Whats the general opinion on wearing hair up on your wedding day ?

im thinking of having my hair up not sure what like yet, but go with what you feel comfortable with i also think it depends on the style of dress your wearing as to wether having it up or down would be best, i wouldnt worry bout the wind am sure if your getting it done professionally then they will no how to sort it so nothing happens.. x

I am going for something like this..(second photo). just simple but elegant. Originally i did think of the whole up do with ringlets but figured i would NEVER have that style usually so why now lol....or i plan to have it like the pink wig idea....though a lot of people have said thats odd....most just say "oh yes VERY you!"

I, like you, have thick naturally curly hair. I think it's nice to have your hair up on the day, keeps it out your face and stops it blowing around too much while you're having photos taken. If you feel more comfortable having it up, then would definitely have it up hun xxx

I'm having my hair half up and half down!!! I'm going to have a side parting and French pleated each side, my veil will cover the ponytail at the back then I'm having hair spirals in the front of my hair. Have done a trial and it looks lovely!! :-)

my hubby really wanted my hair down but I wanted it up because I hate it in my face. Therefore, I dont know if its a style you like but I had the best of both worlds - see images This will work with your curls too :) It is with a tiara but maybe you can ammend it?

If your hair is really thick then having half up half down may fall out, but get your hair dresser to try a couple of ways & see which best stays in for you.
I'm going for a messy side bun, but that's purely because I have a giraffe neck so think it'll look best for me up.

I have very thick, wavy/curly hair. This type of hair looks amazing down. Think about it women pay 1000s on extensions to get hair like ours. If you find the right stylist you can get an amazing style that will last the entire day. My reccomendation is to find someone that loves working with your hair and doing a couple of trials with them.

I had mine up for our actual wedding as it was in Vegas and I knew it would be waaaay too hot out there to have it down. I got the best of both worlds though as I got to wear it half up half down for our blessing and reception back here :)
