Sorry, this is sighty unrelated to my wedding, but wedding topic non the less!

I'm trying to find a maxi dress for my brothers wedding. I hate my legs so it has to be floor length. I've trawled the internet and can't find much. It's either too bridesmaidy or looks like an evening gown.

I found these two from the same website. My H2B says the first looks too evening. Which do I go for?

You could dress the dress down by your accessory choice - casual bag and a cardigan would probably do it x

I like the second one because it'd be easier to dress down for the day & up for the evening do.

You can never be too dressy :) team it with a nice shawl to dress it down slightly for the day and keep your accessories to a minimum xx

Don't worry about other people's opinions. I'm sure other people will make the effort to dress up, too xx

I'm torn but think dress 2 has the slight edge.

Personally I think you can go dressier. It's your brother's wedding so you're allowed to be more glam than the rest of the guests.

My sister and I tend to wear C0@st dresses to our cousin's weddings and we can be extra glam because we're family.

I think they are both gorgeous and totally suitable for the wedding...the only things I'd tend to steer clear of at weddings are the satiny style corset backs which a lot of people do use as bm dresses...

Could you check with the bride first? I'm sure with the pattern it won't qualify as a 'white' dress but I've heard some people can be funny about it.

But I really wouldn't mind someone wearing a lovely dress like that to a wedding xx

Thaks Dreamland and Laura, I feel more confident about both the dresses now. I'm going to order the first one, see what it's like, then I can always return and get the second! xx
