Hi everyone! Thinking of going to wedding fair in Farnham this Sunday. How useful are they to those planning a wedding on a shoe string? What can we expect to see and learn? Is it a MUST do thing for Brides and Grooms?

hiya hun, wedding fair's are fun i love going to them to get ideas! the first one we went to i got my photographer,cake, table/chair decor, and venue lol!
all wedding fair's are different but most have cakes, photographers, stationary, mens suits, sometimes dresses, and lots lots more.
you should go they are fun you even get cake samples!! :) hope this helps a lil xx

I would recommend going to a wedding fair at a venue that you like, so then you get to see what it looks like dressed up for a Wedding. Some venues even let you come and have a look in the morning when they have a Wedding on (well mine did) I haven't been to a Wedding fair yet, but my friend went to a few and picked up a few free bits, like camera's etc and we used these on her hen weekend. I am going to my first one this Sunday, but that's because my godmother is going to be there as an exhibitor.

You dont have to do it, but you will at least get advice.
i went to a wedding fair a few weeks ago at a venue i was keen on having the reception at. it was great as got to see part of it set up for the meal and got to sample some of the canapes and buffet food that they make. I also asked a member of staff if they cld show me round and let me see the bedrooms etc was well worth going. xxx

I went to my first one last Sunday and it was really good. Didnt buy anything but then again, most things for us are sorted anyway. Was good for ideas and suggestions and just a good nose around and free samples. Got to see our wedding cars and chair covers so that was good as well.

Will have been to my first fair! Wow! Have done quite well- viewing of my fav potential venue on Sat this week, then will confirm our chosen entertainment if viewing goes well. Also book photographer from 10am till midnight on the day! Wohooo!!! But yet to be as organised as diddy-ragdoll. Hey ho, still feel we did very well!
