I see September as the start of the wedding fair season! Seem to be so many on as the blast of summer weddings slows down!

I've only been to one proper one (we paid to go and it was more for fun just after we got engaged... nowhere near where we're getting married so we didn't really pay attention... just went for the freebies!) and the rest have been run by venues so a bit biased... anybody know of any decent ones for the North and are there truly bargains there?!

We need to sort out rings and entertainment still.. oh and we will need something for the chairs now or to hire chairs that look pretty as the venue are not replacing theirs and they are ghastly!!!

I have been to two wedding fayres, one in Coventry which was not very good anyway, but as I am getting married up North the suppliers were not relevant to me either. I suppose it was exciting to be there as it was the first "bridey" thing I did.
Second one was in the North East but I just didnt enjoy it at all, either did my H2B. Everyone was crammed in and there were so many people there you couldnt actually speak to suppliers properly. Also, there were no real discounts or incentives to actually book on the day, also.. NO free cake samples.
I left in a huff after only an hour!!

I will be going to the National Wedding Fayre at the NEC with my MOH in October as its been planned for a long time but that will be for her benefit not mine, I have no real interest in them now
    xx

I love wedding fayres! They do get a bit boring if you go to too many at once or too many of the same brand as you tend to get the same suppliers there. But there's always competitions to enter, free cake and also new ideas for suppliers that you may not have thought of before! x

We only went to a couple - on at our venue and another one - but seemed to be the same suppliers at both which was annoying.

I enjoyed them well enough, but they weren't particularly useful to me - No discounts or freebies or competitions etc xx

I went to the National wedding fayre in Bham last October and it was great, was quite newly engaged then but gave us loads of starting ideas. I'm going again this year with a long list of things to book or buy. The only thing I found not to be that great at last years wedding fayre were the photographers, they didn't seem to be offering any kinds of discounts or book now incentives but everything else was great.
Also went to a wedding fayre at my venue and won sweetie cart hire for my wedding day so that was def a good one haha. xx

Wedding fayres at venues are usually quite good. It's not really biased, it's lots of local suppliers so that's quite good and theres always competitions/prize draws. Also, I went to the national wedding show in Birmingham both years before our wedding. Some people don't like it but I loved it.
