    Hiya,

Can anyone tell me if there is a certain period that you should go and look at wedding dresses? Also do I have to invite the mother in law to come with me??

    Thanks

Noooo you can go on your own if you want hun! Unless of course you get on very well with her and would like to invite her, that is your choice! You need to allow at least 6 months before your big day so that your dress can be ordered, received and altered if need be! Why not start now, its so much fun! ;o)

Welcome by the way and congrats on your forthcoming wedding :o)

It's entierly up to you. I tried on a few different styles of dress a few months ago, and will probably try on more before i decide what style of dress i realy want, and plan to order september/october time to allow plenty of time for any alterations ect. You've got plenty of time to play around and see what you like ^.^ x x x

I chose to go just with my mum, then once I've narrowed it down i'll take the bridesmaids for their opinion. I get on well with my mother-in-law-to-be but think its nice for it to be a surprise on the day for her as well.

Not sad at all - thats exactly what I wanted. I've only been to one shop so far, but it was nice just being me and my mum. Something to bare in mind though, depending on what your mum is like, is she likely to give you an honest opinion, as some mums may say you look gorgous in anything (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) Where as my mum was very honest when she didn' like them!
