    Hi
I am new to this site and am getting married in September this year. My problem is that this is my third marriage and this time I would like a dress right out of the pages of a Bronte or Austin novel or Lord of the Rings but cannot find anywhere I can get one made. Can anyone help? email has been removed to stop you getting spam mail ......The Mods
    I live in west Yorkshire.
    thanks
    Heather

Have you looked into hiring one from a theatre company? I heard that you can do this.

There are a few theatres in West Yorkshire and it might be worth giving them a call to see if they do it? West Yorkshire Playhouse, Bradford Alhambra, The Grand in Leeds........................

Or ask future-mrs-watson as her dress designer makes dresses and she is from Sheffield. I'm sure she could do something and she does them to your budget too. I think she is on facebook under dresses no9 but could be wrong so ask Mrs W2b

To be honest I don't think you can tell the one is your dress until you try it on. My dress picked me not the other way around. All the ones I had seen on the internet I hadn't liked. I would have never have picked this one out from the images on the internet but when I tried it on in the shop I loved it even though it was everything I said I didn't want.

I'm just getting really worried now and all my friends say that I shouldn't even start looking yet, leave it till 6 months before, but so worried not going to find what I want, or what will suit me...it makes sense tho to try them on :)

I wouldn't leave until 6 months before to look. Most places prefer a minimum of 6 months to order a dress in, unless you are getting one off the sale rail or similar.....
