    Hi there!

I was hoping to ask of your opinions on an idea I have for my wedding dress. I don't have much of a budget so I have found a beautiful gown on *****38@¥, purchased it but it is a few inches too short. I was expecting this as I am 6'4 and always figured I would need to have a dress made for me should I want one floor length! I have hand made my 3 daughter's dresses out of lilac and purple tulle and crochet bodices and they look gorgeous in them and suddenly thought why not do something similar to my dress to add length?

The idea is to take the top layer of chiffon from the dress, make a 'skirt' made of tulle to go on top of the dress and bulk it up whilst adding length and then to make a chiffon layer to go over the top of the tulle. To hide the crochet band I was thinking about making a beaded sash /thick belt to sit at the waist.

    Does this sound plausible/silly?

i can't reallt picture it and I would be too terrified to do it myself but have you had a look on g00gl3 or somewhere for dresses done in a similar way just so you have an idea?

i have and really not finding anything like what I am picturing! The closest thing I found was making an 'over skirt' of tulle tutorial for a variety of dresses and the a line gown was one of the options but sadly not an actual picture of it.
