Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum ... So I'm sorry if I make stupid little mistakes :-)

I have finally got my wedding dress - Roland Joyce (Doriana) and I absolutely love love love it.

Does anyone / or has anyone wore this type of dress? And if yes, what type of accessories did you wear (the veil & tiara)/or will wear??

    Thanks Ladies

    Pamela

Have you got any pictures of the dress that you can post on your profile?
I personally think that a veil always finishes the look off perfectly. My friend last year had a lovely cathedral length veil and it looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle. I am going for a elbow length one myself as my dress has quite a long train with detailing on so I don't want the veil to ditract from that xx

    Hiya,
If you go to Roland Joyce's website it is the 65002 Doriana (2011 collection), to be honest I only want an elbow length veil aswel but when I had the dress on there where little studs on the veil that where getting caught to my dress, thing is though I dont just want a plain one! All the things that you have to think about are driving me crazy hahaha.

Have you got your dress yet/or have you got any ideas on what you want? xx

p.s Congrats on your wedding day, NEARLY HERE!!!!!!!

It's lovely. I'm having a forever your 410108 in ivory (pic in my ablum). I'm not having a veil, but will be having a tiara (pic also in my album) with some of my hair pinned up and a few pins with pearls on the end in the back of my hair, with the rest of my hair down. I also have a pearl necklace with drop crystals and matching braclet.

I think it is all about personal choice though and what suits you. Tiaras don't really suit me so I'm wearing flowers in my hair and Im going for a bit of a vintage look so pearls I think. xx

Thanks Abbey, it really is beautiful, and it is the complete opposite to what I would of chosen b4 but I think that's what makes it perfect. I probably will wear a veil and tiara, but yes you are right it is what suits you!!

Wearing flowers sounds lovely, and wearing pearls does give a bride a classy and vintage look. Have you got your colour scheme? Ours is Black, White and Silver. xx

Aww hun, I bet you cant wait to go and see it :-). We have sorted out all the big things like the cars, venue, church, caterer and deorations and that, it is more now the clothes side of it to sort out. I didnt realise how expensive bridesmaid dresses could be though but I have been looking @ that JJ House website and they seem OK. The honeymoon to be honest I am leaving that to my fiance (Lee), he has just qualified as a scuba diver so I think he wants to sort the honeymoon around that, upto now it is the Maldives, the invites I want to get sorted out but everytime I try to look @ the guest list it seems to get bigger hahaha!! x

    Hi p.murphy96,

Yes I have pretty much sorted out my colour scheme now. I had to have turquoise as my venue already had this, as its a beach wedding (but i love turquoise anyway) so I've added fuchsia and purple to warm up the colour scheme. My flowergirls are wearing fuchsia and my MoH is hopefully wearing turquoise so I will tie in the purple in the flowers and table decorations. Might have purple flowers in my hair too and get Adam to wear hints of purple . . . once he has picked his suit (men are so slow at getting their wedding attire!!)
You sound like you are pretty prepared, so I'm sure you will come up with a solid idea of what you want for your acessories soon. Just enjoy trying lots on and shopping xx

    Hi hun,

Your wedding sounds perfect (and I'm sure you will make it that way). I didnt realise you are having a beach wedding!! Where is that going to be? I'm from Liverpool but we are having the wedding in Maghull just because they have this perfect church there :-). But I know what you mean about men, Lee is dreading the fact that he has to go shopping with my dad and his best-man but I've told him that the 1st visit to get a suit I will be going with them so I can make sure the swatch colour of my dress does'nt clash with anything they get. Because of our colours, I've got 2 BM's and my sister is the MOH they (hopefully) wil be wearing long black dresses with some silver on it. To be honest, I can not wait to start sorting out teh accessories & getting the girls sorted out, I've warned Lee that within the next couple of months I may turn into a Bridezilla if things start falling apart hahaha.

    Pamela xx
