Well me and my parents went to our appointment with the wedding co ordinator at the venue were in love with (my finace works away in the navy), loved everything they wee telling us UNTILLLLLL... the date we want is aready booked up.. not just that but all the saturdays in May 2013.. looks like well be settling for 8th June instead. But the question is.. why am i so upset about it:( xxx

im so sorry to hear this hun, your upset for the reson that the date you had your heart set on isnt avalible, i would of been heart broken if my date was unavalible. im so sorry but im sure the 8th will be just as fantastic for you as the other date, im sorry hun, if you need to chat were all here. x

Yeah totally understand I was pretty ok about dates I went to the venues and found out when they had a date free next year then called church theynsaid they didn't have a booking that Saturday and that was it we are getting married in Portsmouth dockyard church ;) it's beautiful ;) and a way to bring the navy in! Lol x
aww sorry to hear that hun, when u first think and talk about ur wedding the date is the first thing u decide on, so its understandable to be upset that u cant have the date and a bit unnerving that its had to change and the choice wasn't yours. I know what it feels like when i went to look at a fab venue, we wanted 20th april 2013 and that was gone so they offered us 4th May 2013 anyways in the end we didn't go with that venue, but after thinking about it the 4th May grew on me and my partner, cant believe we didn't think to have it that bank holiday weekend. we going to see a venue Saturday that we are deffo going to book if the price right but we provisionally booked our new date when first made appointment weeks ago so we didn't loose another one! it takes time hun but look for the good in the new date, chances are the weather going to better and gives u a month longer to plan :) xxxx

WIfey2be that sounds amazing!! id love to have a navy theme but h2b's not keen! tori yeah well they did have 4th may but its my mums birthday and i know its a little selfish but i dont really want to share they day for future reasons, i love the venue but its making em want to look around a little bit more becasue weve only looked at 2! xxx

Well the hubby to be wasn't too keen but wanted to get married in the navy church ;) and then I brought the navy theme in more and more lol ;) like table names are names after navy ships ones that Jay or our close friends have served on ;) Why is he not keen?? Where is your hubby to be based??

Aww sounds lovely! Well we cant get married in church because hes not christened and we arent too religious anyway and hes just awkward!! hes based at RNAS Culdrose in Helston so well be moving there once married:)

well keep looking hun when u see "The One" you will know and hopefully they have ur date, but id suggest when u make an appointment to go see it ask if they have the date and provisionally book it until u see it, that way if they have any1 else interested in the date b4 u visit they will ring u first. plus normally they give u good few weeks after u first visit to decide once u provisionally booked! good luck xx

Thanks i didnt really know what to do.. were going to seem it again on sunday so if the 8th is still available i think ill provisionally book it- and they give two weeks so its pleanty of thinking time! Thanks xxx

We had to change our date as one of the venues couldn't do it. I was disappointed but now love the new date.

We were going for September but moved it forward to May but our venue din't have May so we moved it to April - I couldn't have made it after May cos it would be too long for my impatient self!!!! x
