Well, I have done an internet search for Bridal Competitions, and I have to say, I have found well I would say hundreds. So have now spent the last half hour going through them and entering as many as I can, and I am still going through more.
Mad, maybe, but if I can win any. Woohoo!!

ive used previously bridal mag sites, like "you and your wedding" to look at their competitions ive never won anything in my life so i am determined haha!

Almost entered one at the beginning of the month in our local paper but you had to use everything their way and they basically followed your entire day, not sure I wanted the lot! It's nice to make decisions myself, lol.

Kaz i saw one like this, it was a WIN £11,000 wedding! but you had to get married on a certain day and at a certain venue etc etc. not my idea of planning a wedding haha!

yeah exactly they think us brides want the stress taken away and they think the way to do that is plan your whole day "their" way! well newsflash i dont want the stress but i want it MY way and if that means less than 11K then so be it! stupid people haha!!
ive just entered a compitition to win £500 to spend on a certain website and win a spa day (same comp) just by filling in a survey :) (a long one though!)

I'm trying out some instant win sites now, for the cash prizes and things that offer a cash alternative or things I can put on bay of e or something. That way can sell some, if I win that is and get some spending money for the wedding. Not gonna hold my breath for winning though. I never win. xx

I struggle, but I do 30-45 minutes worth, then I go off for 5 minutes, then come back and start again, I must have entered hundreds of competitions, it'll be the same again tomorrow as well. The more you do, the more you increase your chances. xx

hi Annette brides on a bus was a television show that was shown on the wedding channel. 10 brides went on a double decker london bus starting at lands end, each day we went to different places and had to do a challenge, the bottom 2 then had a face off which resulted in 1 bride leaving each day. The winning couple got a wedding in gretna green all expenses paid. I got as far as wales then the rugby challenge killed me off lmao. It was great fun though, and am kind of glad i didn't win as it wasn't very personal, they had to repeat the vows etc for film crew.

Oh that would be a shame, I don't think your wedding should be dictated to you. It's your day, it should be how you want it. So maybe it is a good thing you didn't win, did you get a consellation prize. LOL!! It sounds like fun though, I think I'll stick to my internet competitions. xx

I've entered a competition on our local radio station to win our wedding (find out friday if we are in the top 10 and through to the next stage!) It isnt ideal but our budget is tiny so we arent having the wedding of our dreams anyway, at least this way (if we win!) we will get a stress free wedding money wise and get to bring it forward to next year. The winner doesnt have to accept all parts of the prize. The only thing we would hold firm on is that our handfasting would still be in the venue of our choice, the rest we would happily take as won and be grateful. I am so nervous waiting to see if we are through! But like a lot of you ladies I constantly enter comps and have never won anything so its all wishful thinking!

All of the online ones that I've found are free. The one I entered off the radio is free too but we had to do a huge letter about ourselves ect, from which they will decide which couples go through to the public vote.
