I know my wedding is 2 years away but I want to enjoy planning my wedding, I am completely stuck on a wedding colour, all I know is that I do not want Burgundy. At first I chose Jade but now I don't want this colour due to me finding it hard to find mens waistcoats and cravats in Jade. I like lilac and pale pink but do not know what to pick. Can anyone suggest any colours and is anyone having same problem as me please?

My bridesmaids are my 2 best friends and my daughter who is 6 so she wants pink. my bm's aren't too bothered on the colour but I want a colour the suits them and that I like. x

Having the same problem my self, I'm thinking a mix between silver and pastel purple or/and pink but so hard to choose, I'm having a spring wedding aswel so don't know if pink and purple are a good choice as I like baby yellow and green but I'm soo stuck need something that stands out 2 me making me feel like that's the colour I'm going to have xx

I know how you feel, it's so hard to pick a colour, My wedding is in August 2014. not one colour has jumped out at me yet. The colour is the centre of everything so I can't plan anything else til I pick one. Was thinking of putting a colour chart together with ribbon's or going into bridal shops and looking at bridesmaid dresses to try and help me. x

I've changed my mind so many times now, but my thinking is that I have plenty of time to research different looks/themes before I have to settle on anything. Have a look around google at others' weddings and see if there's anything that appeals, I've had a lot of fun coming up with different combinations :) xx

i had same problem as you, then i decided on having my fav colour Lemon, white and a mocca! just so happens lemon is coming back in this year already found 3 places to get mens cravats and waistcoats and bridesmaids dresses in that colour. My point is last year i couldn't find any, so hold of for a while, dont rule anything out, u never know whats just around the corner and what will be "IN" next!
Things to bare in mind is:-
What time of year is your wedding? Winter - Draker colours / christmas colours good - reds, golds, greens etc. Spring - light colours, lemon, lime, baby pink, lavender etc Summer - Bright colours - Hot pinks, bright blues, bright yellows etc. Autumn - Think rustic, - Oranges, Browns, mocca, latte, hunter green etc
Next Think about your venue? What colour is the room your in, is it natural? if say lots of red and gold think about colours that will compliment Lighting, is there lots of natural light else dark colours in dark room will be a bit to much and not give the effect u might want.
Dress? Are you going for white? Ivory? Or coloured dress?
Your going to need colours that compliment the dress not take away from.
Theme... whats yours? Butterflys, flowers, winter wonderland, fairy tale etc Try to think of what u might want as a theme then pick out a few colours from that.
Lastly id say.... just my opinion girls !!
Pick one primary colour and maybe one or two secondary colours just to tie in any more and it begins to look busy!

Tori wow lady that's a lot to think about haha I'm having a ivory dress with silver bits in it, i would like a butterfly/fairy style wedding, really thinking about basing it on tinkerbell haha so not sure on the colours I know it would be green and yellow def but not sure yet lol but would be good as having a spring wedding :)

Nicola - as one of your rooms green maybe something like green and blue / orange / tan / beige / yellow / white / purple / these can all look great with green and look wonderful in the ballroom with the mirrors to bounce light around, just an idea! xx

Tinkerbell how about green, yellow and silver they would look great for a tinker bell theme and bring in the silver from your dress. you could have the bridesmaids in green dresses with silver sashes?! thing is its not just picking a colour i learnt that, u have to think about everything in ur wedding a whole to come up with colours. no point picking a colour then not finding a theme you can co-operate into that! xx

Yeah just spoke to h2b and said that I want a tinkerbell theme with yellow and green, think silver is the best option, plus I got a friend on the book of face who makes keyrings and there really nice she has some with tinkerbell on them with different colour beads and I could make them in to favours haha was watching tinkerbell wiv my little boy this afternoon on t.v and I think its kind of made me think of it the most yeay lol thanks Tori been a big help :) lol

haha when i first started wedding planning i was crap, but so much time on research and changing my colour scheme a million times i kinda become a pro at it. ur find ur feet soon hun, just remember to choose what u want ignore everyone else. its your day, you will never make everyone happy so make ur self happy! once u picked ur primary colour the secondary colours easy babe x good luck xx

I have always known, even before I met my h2b that I wanted a blue themed wedding (girly dreams lol). It's always been my favourite colour and luckily it's his too so I'm happy! I have been looking at a Royal Blue as my main colour, for bridesmaids etc... and I want blue on my dress too... Been thinking possibly throwing in some burnt/autumn orange to compliment the blue aswell but not sure on that.. what do people think??

As soon as we got engaged I knew I wanted cadburys purple. I really dont know why, I just fell in love with the colour. With a lot of searching on the internet I'm sure you could find any colour you want.

I knew i wanted to wear an ivory dress, so that was obviously my first colour & decided to choose my favourite colour which is blue. I looked at different blues online and narrowed it down to two shades cornflower blue and royal blue. My other half preferred the royal blue so my colours were decided royal blue & ivory with a love heart theme
