Unfortunately, we will be missing several very important people for our wedding day due to geographical, financial & health reasons. So they don't miss out completely I've been trying to investigate the possibility of getting someone in to film the event and broadcast it live over the internet, but I've not had much luck. With technological advances, is this possible on an average budget? Our ceremony will be in the Lake District but it's not something I see being offered locally. Anyone else done this or offer this service???

I've no idea whether it's a service offered by any company but I considered Skyping. All it takes is one guest or one of the ushers to set it up on the day. I didn't do it in the end but it's an idea.

In order for you recieve useful links that anyone might find you will need to unrestrict your profile
Thanks for the advice folks (both on the topic & about the spam). The Skype option is possible of course but there could be issues with audio, picture quality & connection. The only option I've found is an outfit based up in Scotland who I found on Google called Heart Networks. Might give them a call as they seem to be offering what I'm looking for at a very reasonable price. Maybe that's about as local as I'm going to get by the looks of things!

no , you don't get loads of spam, you get that regardless, I would say skype via a phone with good camera on it. or just getting a videographer, and sending them a copy!

How do you block the ads?! :o
Good luck with the live link, you'd think in this day and age it would be more readily available..... Though I guess there's not much of a demand for it. Sounds fab though. I'd well do it, if I had somewhere to broadcast to lol

My friends got married in australia in march and with only 6 months notice i couldn't attend. She sent me texts and pictures and even a video message in the morning of her and the girls getting ready so i was a part of it and then had a guest skype me from her phone from the church. True picture quality was a bit off and i couldn't hear absolutly everything but it was amazing to say that i was a part of her special day. Skype may not be perfect but it is cheap and a wonderful way of letting everyone be there xx
