I did this too! I got my MOH's husband to drive us in his Golf! I have know him for well over 15 years ... it was nice to have him have a part, and saved us money too!

i think its a brill idea or i moght still just get a limo for 80 pound for an hour the i get get it to pick my hubby to be up his ushers my bridesmaids the me and my granda sure they could do that in an hour cos the church id 5 mins away from my house the one i was goin to pay 200 pound for was with a places called dean taxis that hires out wedding cars kaz x

my buget is not that high aswell so havin to watch what i get and spend i am just tryin to find a places to hire out tablecloths and chair covers aswell for my sit down meal and it is not goin to well x

I was going to get a taxi - but EVERYONE I spoke to about it was horrified. Dan said that I shouldn't he wouldn't trust them to turn up on time.

thats fab hun ......we arent having any cars as im staying at the venue and mr lala is driving himself over
lucky you id go for it,my uncle has a stunning beauford which we were going to use but my dress is too big so we have gone for a white limo 175 for 2 hours xx

yea they said mine would be round about the same for a limo for 2hours sharon but i only got it for one cos i thought i could just get a taxi to the sit dowm meal but i did not think of how big my dress would be so i think am just goin to go for the limo for 2 hours unless i get a dress that is not that big did not think of that thanks have to see what kind of dress i get x

I was planning on staying at the venue... but the venue we really like has no accommodation, so I may have to have some form of transport as the venue is 30 mins away! My ideal would be to have a horse and carrige ( im such a wannbe princess!) lol, but they are very very expensive, so will have to rethink that one!

am stoppin at the venue the nyt before but still booked cars for h2b and grooms men as well as mum and a few others we also have 2 16 seater minibus for the nyt time to get guest bk home all for £450

Just thought i would share as you are all talking about taxis. This is my wedding car although its completely converted inside so has mini bar, plasma tv etc. They have a second one which is blue and more boy orientated with PS3 in it. It costing me £100 for 2 hours but wanted it as soon as i saw it.

me too hence when saw it a wedding fair had to have it plus loads of room so dont have to worry about fitting in with bridesmaids and dresses.

elizabeth - yeah they does cost loads more than a bridal car really around £500 ish ( you may be able to get cheaper - but these aare the prices i have seen)
