I'm really stumped on this one! I'd like cake boxes but we've got 4 tiers on the cake and not only are the boxes pricey, do I need different size boxes? Is there another option as I can't think of anything apart from napkins!

Ebay??? You can find some gorgeous boxes on there!! I am not giving any cake out, it will be eaten on the day so plates will suffice lol.. If there is any left I think H2B will be finishing it off before we go to bed lol...!!!

We got cake bags quite cheep from confetti. They're a good size for a big slice of cake and they're waxed lined. Can't remember how much we paid though. We're going to give the cake out to guests as they are leaving. I know not everyone like fruit cake but, at least they can give it to someone who does.

10 boxes for £1 in pound shop, even if the tears are different sizes the pieces will be cut to roughly the same size. I am doing cake boxes as i dont want to be left with loads of cake that we will be eating for weeks afterwards, people are more likely to take some home in boxes x

I'm going to use napkins, but going to get personalised napkins so at least they are a little bit more special, going to get them to match my colour scheme too.

We were going to have it as the pudding but our venue is REALLY cheeky and CHARGE for us to serve our own cake so we decided we might as well get pudding as we have to pay either way :-(
ANYWAY the point of the post...................we decided against boxes as couldnt find any nice ones so were having personalised napkins that LOOK and feel like linen instead :-)

Just seen the link Jessica sent, can't believe you can pick them up for a £1 It's just more work having to slice it all and box it when I should be having a good time. Yep they can eat it if they want it and I'll take what's left...decided, cheers ladies x

We've just got personalised napkins...although we were thinking of getting just plain small lunchboxes from Costco, I think they had loads for cheap but I don't know if they still do them. x

I'm not sure about boxes, they do run the cost up. Napkins can be nice, just fold them differently.

Our cake will be eaten on the day and over the weekend after (some of our guests are making a 'weekend' of it)..so, I imagine the Saturday after the wedding we will all be having wedding cake with our 'high tea'...!

    Same as Dove.

Is anyone else freezing the top tier for their 1st anniversary? Auntie and Uncle chopped the top tier into 4, put it in the chest freezer and had it for anniversarys. x

We're also having ours as dessert, saves us £9 per person on their overpriced catering options! Though I assume there will be a bit left I'm not going to bother with boxes tbh.
