    Ok, important question now lol

Wedding cake. I am having 3 tiers, sqaure (there is a pic on my profile)

How high is each tier supposed to be? The cake tins I have are 3 inches deep and I think 3 inches high is too small and suggested to the cake lady that they should be bigger. Does anyone know what the normal height is?

Most I've seen are around 4 inches.. but yours might have a little bit of added height from the icing?? xx

Mine stood about 27cm high in total, im guessing thats 3 inch on each teir and added height with icing.... i was rather happy with my size but it did look smaller then others i have seen x x

I think it really depends which design of cake you go for in regards to how big the tiers should be. I would say a decent size is 4-5 inches for the actually cake and then the icing will bulk it out a little more x x x
