ok so we were going to buying a m&s cake becoz 1 the cake wasn't something either of us were really excited about 2 they had great reviews 3 very reasonable price but i spotted on here somewhere about choccywoccydoodah so I thought I would have a look and OMG they are amazing!!! but they are too far from us, they said it would cost 500 quid to have it delivered lol, but we could pick it up for free although it just seemed to much trouble becoz we live in the north west, so we found a patissier & chocolatier who could make it for us, they quoted 5quid more than choccywoccydoodah but it would only be 60quid deliver, plus the food and cake we tested were amazing! ; ) here is copy of how our cake will look but at the bottom it will say Happy 30th Birthday Rachel and it will be in pastal colours ; D x

It's exactly what I've been debating! I love their cakes, but presumed it would be out of budget!! Out of interest, was the £500 for cake and delivery?? Well done for finding someone more local- didn't even think about doing that!

Oh my god i love it! MIL is paying for cake so im trying to keep an eye on prices but we have a local chocolatier who does amazing cakes, justt think they'd be waaaay over budget x

In total it is £810, but we have been able to fit the extra cost in our budget its all done in white choc so that's were the cost is, the bottom and top tiers are choc fudge cake and the middle will be vanilla cream and omg they tasted so good plus they are deep cakes so each 1 has a few layers of filling to them to get the height we need :-) x

Sorry i just read back what i put at the beginning of this thread and £500 was just the deliver cost =-O on top of that was £745 for the actual cake that's why i 'lol' becoz i thought that was insane i even laughed at the guy on the phone that's when he said pick up would be free but its just to far to travel plus traveling with a expensive cake i don't think is a good idea x

Wow- that's a lot for delivery!! Cost of cake for the quality seems good to me- but then normal pricing/costs seem to have gone out of my head!! I live about an hour from Brighton so may have a day trip and sample all the chocolate!! Think you're cake is amazing!!!

i would go there defo if i lived so close i was surprised at how resonable the price was, i was expecting 1000 altho the full size one i've put here is over 900 but you can see all the work thats been put into it ; ) x

I had a look on that site too the programme on the tv isso good but I know there exspensive but they would be worth it and if I lived closer I would have one too , ur cake will look fab xx

haha theres going to be 2 brides so it has alot of competition lol, it's not going to look totally like the pic becoz instead of the blue it will be purple and it will all be done in pastal colours to keep with are wedding scheme ; ) x
