my auntie has offered to make our wedding cake for us as a wedding gift. it is very nice but we cant make our mind up. She says she would prefer to do a large number of cup-cakes and one normal cake on the top with a disney cake topper as this would be easier. so i guess we are kind of having the best of both worlds. she has suggested doing a number of different flavoured cup cakes all decorated to our colour scheme and disney theme. but it sounds a lil complicated. i like the idea but i dont know which is best

Hello hun . I am making my own cupcake tower for our wedding with a small 6 inch cake on the top ( pix of my cakes on my photos if you want a look ) I'm doing cupcakes because it will cut the cost of our cake down doing it myself, plus I love making them!! I guess it up to you what you like the most, have a look around on the net, there are loads of ideas! if you use google images you can see some that have been done which might give you an idea x x x

You auntie suggested the idea of different flavours and designed cupcakes so I wouldn't worry if you think its too complicated huni.

she wants to do vanilla, carrot, fruit (for the oldies lol), sponge and jam and chocolate cup cakes all on different levels lol it should be good. she seems to have her mind set and how she wants to do it. i like the idea but im worried she might get carried away and the cake end up like nothing we have planned

I don't think either one is better hun, just depends which one you prefer! my h2b doesnt like the cupcake idea so thats that one sorted for me lol x

bridetobe she is actually gonna have a massive work load having all them flavours! I'd get a pic of what you want and choose 2 flavours and stick to that or it's gonna look messy and not be what you want x

i think that you need to get a pic of the idea and how you would like it to be, then take it to her and show her. alongside saying is this the kind of thing you mean because it's exactly what i had in mind.... then take the discussion from there x
