A while ago we made a decision on our cake, we agreed that cupcakes would be a great idea and we have even chosen the recipe .

This is it. My friend is a baker and she agreed she would do it as a present as long as I helped bake the cupcakes and she would do most of the decoration. However after a discussion ive recently had with the friend she did mention that the cupcakes we need are a lot and while she didn't say she didn't want to do it, I have began to have doubts and now im thinking maybe we should just have the traditional 3/4 tier to make it a little easier for us.
I really want the cupcakes but for some reason the ease of a traditional cake is appealing, im at a loose end and for some reason im finding it hard to make decisions....argh whats wrong with me?

Do you just want a traditional tiered cake because it's easier, or is it actually starting to sway you because you like them?

Don't make a decision on what's easier, chose what you want. You don't want to look back and think 'I wish I just went with what I wanted' x

Like said above, go for what you want, not what it is easier.

Maybe you could have a mixture of both cupcakes and a traditional cake? I think that always looks lovely, then your guests get a choice of what they would like. And the cupcakes are great for kids :)

There are some cakes which integrate both, they are quite nice

if you feel like its putting pressure on her and making you fell guilty look at pricing it up from a local baker and if you can fit that in your budget instead... dont go with the cake you obviously love the cupcakes

Go for what you really want. I love cupcake towers, my sister had one and it was spectacular.

Just had a thought. The cakes can be made in advance and frozen. Then you just need to decorate near to the wedding. Did this for a friends party once
