Hi everyone, im slightly nervous now as we have had to bring the wedding forward! not through having extra funds i might add but because the other half forgot to tell his parents the exact date and they came back from their hols with another booked next year at the same time! they already had put a deposit down so we had to change our date (no deposits were put down our end so it was fine) im just feeling a bit nervous because i had got used to this date and also as its a bit earlier, its cutting it fine with the wedding budget too! im just hoping everything will be fine anyway! its only 8 days earlier but it does just feel like the control i had other things is slipping a bit! I managed to get the registrar booked for this date thank god, although i had to go with a time of 2:30pm instead of 3pm. I know i should be more excited as i get to marry my man earlier but these little changes have made me a bit nervous of what might be to come....
should i be nervous? and has anyone else had to change the date and managed fine? x

You'll be fine, a week isn't that major in the grand scheme of things and if push comes to shove you could put the last payments on card then pay that off the following month if that's your original time plan :-)

yeah im sure i will, im just finding that everything is amking me nervous atm! im even worried that when i go back in 2 weeks to try my dress on again and put the first deposit down that i might not like it as much as i first did!
dunno why im feeling so nervous about all this when i have a good while to go yet! scares me to think what i will be like on the day! eek!

Well if you have 2 weeks to go then use them to look at more dresses to help you see if you still like your dress, it's not ordered yet so you are well within your rights to change your mind! Just don't do what I did and when it was ordered I had a wobble and thought I didnt' like it as much - thankfully after another try I was fine about it again! Argh!
lol i think its seeing more lovely dresses thats made me think mine might not be special enough! lol im sure i will know at the time if its still the right one, i might try others on if it doesnt make me feel the same. i hope the bridal shop dont get too annoyed with me! lol

Not at all, it's a lot of money so you're fine to take your time over how you spend it! I almost wish I'd spent more time with my dress, it was the 5th shop and as soon as I had it on I said it was the right one and put my deposit down, part of me thinks I should have favourited that dress then carried on looking in case I wanted to come back to it instead, which is why I had the seed of doubt last month but am sure it will look fabulous!

omg the 5th shop! this one i saw in the first shop i went in! lol it was the second dress i tried on, out of 6 on the day!
i know its def the material im after and the shape etc but im just worried about the detail, i know it looked fabulous but knowing there r loads of designs out there scares me a bit! im one to shop around a lot b4 i settle on something so me settling on this dress is not really how i shop! but maybe it is a sign that ive found the perfect one straight away! whatever happens i wont put a deposit on it til im sure and i will have the mil and sil there aswell to pass judgement so im sure that will help with my decision!
i think sometimes having too much choice is not really a good thing! if u feel special in urs then its the one! have u got a pic? x

You dress picks you hun, I saw my dress months before i tried it on and then i tried on loads of different ones which granted looked gorgeous but i just wanted to try on the original choice again the the lady in the shop said it found you and won't let go

Yes I had my mum and grandma with me so they approved! Here's a pic of me in the sample which is too small but you get the idea - as it wasn't done up the bust looks massive but it'll sit closer on my chest when it arrives end Feb!

You arent being silly being nervous but a week of difference isnt much! We brought ours forward a year because we are getting help with money, like food and deposits but looking at everything now and h2b still not in work im freaking out big time thinking we should have left it at the original date with the extra help. But when i look at it all and how much we are doing ourselves i dont stress too much and know we will have an amazing day! There is just so much i want to do now but can till we get some money together for it!

yeah its the same for me! i think its because i cant really buy or plan anything until next year as thats when i have the money to do things so moving things forward is just a bit nerve racking when nothing has been booked yet! lol also i think it has just revealed the inner control freak in me and that things changing without my say so is not good! lol omg what am i like!
hope u get urs sorted in time weemintymonkey, im sure both our days will come together in the end as things usually do x
