I too am struggling with the wedding breakfast issue. How do we choose? We are going to have a mix of food preferences in our guests (some veggie, some vegan, some don't like fish, my brother won't eat chicken breast or beef, one hates lamb and I'm dairy free.

We have a menu tasting in February at our venue and I have no idea what to do.

My advise is to pick what YOU like and that's it. The venue will have options for you for dietary requirements but if there is one thing i've learned through this whole wedding process is that ultimately, it is your special day. I've already had one person complain because she doesn't like fact i'm having lemon meringue pie as my dessert. So i told her that's fine. She can sit there and watch everyone else eat it. I've learned the hard way that trying to please everyone at your wedding will in fact be impossible. But as long as you and your other half enjoy the food and get dietary requirements from everyone, the venue will take care of it for you :)

There is no possible way to please every single guests. If they have good manners, they won't raise any issues and should feel grateful for the invitation to the special event Unfortunately, too many times I have stressed brides that are upset about a guest sharing their unwanted opinions.
You should pick a menu that works for you. The venue or caterer will have other options for guests with any allergies. If you get one choice, I say choose a chicken or beef dish. These are typically crowd pleasers The venue should have a vegan option they can give anyone else that is ok with that. Vegans and vegetarians can still eat most pastas and veggie side cooked with oils. Additionally, the venue/caterer should be able to accommodate any allergies.
I hope this helps! Don't stress... this is an easy
