Is anyone having a live band instead of or as well as a DJ? It's the one thing my h2b has his heart set on but I couldn't believe how much they are. Seem to average around £1.5k for the evening and typically the one I like is about £2k lol.

Has anyone been to a wedding with a live band? Was it a good atmosphere?

That's what I was thinking, so long as the band are good obviously : )

I have a lot of friends in bands, but most are metal and so I don't think that would go down so well at a wedding lol. How much is your band costing if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Neen I work in a bar and have known the band for over 7 years so we r getting really good price u should try social clubs and stuff for bands as usually they have different ones on every week and usually they are under 1000 for weddings. Where r u from? x

Sunny Essex. That's a good idea actually as there are loads of pubs locally that have regular live bands. So far I have just been looking at the entertainment brokers and so I guess they would more expensive as the website will take a cut from the band for advertising : )
    Thanks x

Hiya we are having a live band as well as dj, paying £800 for the night which was better than others we had found. Me and h2b love Journey so we are having a Journey tribute band x

They were in the station pub friday! Amazing! Was chatting to this bloke standing next to me and told him they were playing my wedding-he said "you didn't ask us-we would've done it for nothing!" I said who are you then? "Jaded"! Thought he looked familiar! Lol x
