Hi everybody. I'd love to get some of your ideas on the type of wedding album you are looking for. I love the ones I'm offering, but it would really help me to get some views from actual brides to be. Are digital story book albums now old hat? Do you prefer traditional matted photo albums? Do you want an album at all, or just a disc of files? Over to you, what do you want? Dave - a wedding photographer

I love the storybook albums but every photographer I've looked at they are the most expensive album. A disk is the best thing coz then you can make your own

i like both,album and disk

The disc is the most important to me. If I have a copyright free disc, I can print the pics and frame them, make albums, email pics, etc

i think its nice to have both. its always nice looking athrough old photo albums. but like nicpep says, its good to have the copyrights to the disc so you can print what you like yourself.
I still want to have the traditional wedding album, but would like to be able to have copies done as and when i want them.
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
I love married life !!!!

I love the storybook albums but I'm having a disk too as I want to print special photos after. But I still think traditional albums look fabulous. I think it depends on you where you prefer the traditional or want a more up to date album , but they are both still very popular!! xx

We looked at traditional, digi albums and a combination of both - we went for traditional but then I love actual photographs. Digi albums just didn't float our boat at all. Though what our photographer does which looks quite good is to put a digital image of the venue on the album page then mounts pictures over it. I'm looking into purchasing a copyright free disc so I can do my own parent albums but we'll just have to see how much it's going to come to.
I think if you can offer the full range of styles to your clients that's the best way for you to go
It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

I'd like to have a photo album to get out to show people and generally look at from time to time, but I like the idea of having copies on disc to print off or send to family who couldn't make it or live abroad. xx

we are wanting a story book album but they are pricey but i feel they are the best, we would also be looking for a deal that has all the photos on disc copyright free so we can just look back at the other non chosen ones too xx

Thanks everyone, useful feedback. I already include a DVD slideshow of everything from the day, but not a printable option. Will give some thought to adding that. Several of you mention copyright free. Technically the copyright always remains with the photographer, what you want is a licence to reproduce for personal use.
