Did it rain on your wedding day/a wedding day you have been to? How did you/they cope with it?

I'm stressing out as I've done post code weather checks and they say it's going to rain all afternoon! I just want to be prepared!

I wish I could offer advice, but every wedding I've been to has been miraculously sunny or the rain has held off when everyone was outside. It rarely every rains all day so fingers crossed it doesn't rain when you need to be outside.

You can control the weather s stressing won't solve anything. My brother got married this year and they had a really windy day which meant her veil kept blowing off so we just did e pictures inside xxx

It rained at my friends wedding last year and I felt bad for them because they had arranged a tractor to pull a trailer with them in to the reception (they're farmers) but couldn't doit because of the rain. They still had a great day though and the most important thing is the getting married part not the weather.

It rained on and off all through our wedding day. Luckily for us we got married at a gorgeous venue in Gretna with loads of indoor photo opportunities - so most of our pics are indoors (blacksmiths, 'bedroom' etc) but we did manage a few outdoors. Luckily again there was a massive wooden gazebo that held just about all the guests as well so a lot of pics were taken there as well.

I think they were used to the weather in Gretna as well, as the photographer's assistant brought umbrellas for us for some pics lol.

A friend of mine got married last year, one minute it was lovely sunshine but very windy, then it tipped down. We were in a marquee which leaked as well.

I'm not overly fussed if it rains on my day as the ceremony and reception are in the same place, but it would be nice to use the grounds to congregate in and also have pictures taken.
