just found this for you...not sure if it will help:
UK Review - October 2010 The month began on a very wet note, with widespread heavy rain which particularly affected central and southern England and Wales on the 2nd.
Localised flooding was reported after 25 to 35 mm fell in just a few hours.
On the 3rd the worst of the rain fell across southwest England, Wales and eventually northern England.
A further 30 to 40 mm was recorded in some places, washing out the Ryder Cup golf at Celtic Manor, Newport - the second interruption in three days and ensuring a fourth day of play for the first time in the competition's history.
A quieter spell then followed over much of the country, and it turned warm for several days before a northerly flow brought a sharp drop in temperature.
Many places recorded their first frost of the season on the 17th, then on the 20th some snow fell in parts of Scotland, even down to lower levels. In some western areas, unusually low temperatures of around -5 °C were recorded on the 25th.
Heavy rain affected some northwest areas on the 26th after localised flooding closed a section of the A75 in Dumfries and Galloway, and some flooded roads were also reported in parts of Ayrshire.
On the 29th, further heavy rain affected Northern Ireland, southwest and western Scotland with 25 mm falling in 4 hours causing local flooding in parts of Belfast and north Down.
Statistics
The first few days were unsettled over most of the UK with copious amounts of rainfall, but pressure then built from the east to give more settled weather and some warm days.
For about 10 days from mid-month it was then colder with northerly winds and some very low overnight temperatures. In the last week, frontal systems from the west resumed their influence bringing much milder air and rain at times.
Overall, temperatures were close to normal. Rainfall was also close to normal in many areas, but it was drier than average in the west. It was a sunny month, especially in the west. Provisionally, it was the sunniest October on record in Wales and Northern Ireland.
A maximum temperature of 23.1 °C was recorded at Chivenor (Devon) on 8th. Levens Hall (Cumbria) and Sennybridge (Powys) both had minimum temperatures of -6.6 °C early on 25th.
Glenlee (Dumfries & Galloway) recorded 62.0 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending 0900 on 2nd. A wind gust of 63 knots was measured at Capel Curig (Conwy) on 29th.

Honey don't worry about the weather, I know we'd all love a beautiful warm, sunny day for our wedding but it can't ever be guaranteed. We were at the year mark on Thursday and the weather this year was amazing but it probably won't be the same next year. lol. xxx
CommentAuthorMrs Q - Weegie
i agree with NHR115, I dont think the weather should be a contributing factor when picking your date, yeah we would all like sumshine, but at the end of the day, it only rain! you will still be marrying the man you love and thats whats it all about.
As with the stress side, i know its difficult but try not to let it get to you, once YOU and H2B have decided what YOUS want then thats the way it should stay, if other people dont like it.. tough in my opinion, i'm sure they've had their day! I dont mean to sound nasty but sometimes its the best approach to take, stay firm with what you truly want :)
Good Luck xxx
25 days Until i marry my price charming!!

My mum and dads anniversary is the 3rd October and they always go away and have lovely weather, and then my friend was married 21st June and it was like a monsoon!!! You cant rely on weather whenever you book it so I would not worry about it. I love your theme with fireworks and all the candles etc and I dont think you should change that for anyone!!!

im an october bride too, we got engaged on 23rd last october and it was a beautiful day, very sunny but nippy. Getting married on the 22nd, i hope its sunny again, and although we booked october so we wouldnt be as disappointed if it rained (being winter) i know i will be lol.
I tried googling what time it goes dark in october, but couldnt really find anything, its before the clocks change, so im hoping it stays light til at least 5.30, 6pm, does anyone know lol
