Hi guys! I have made the decsion today to hold our ceremony outside rather than in the normal room. We can go into the normal room if it rains though. The wedding is on the 27th of April this year.... what do you reckon are the chances of semi okay weather? Or am I just kidding myself? The location is Dartmoor, Devon.
Thanks!

I think you should have a back up plan just in case.... My brother got married that weekend last year and the wind was strong and it rained all day. You can't guarantee the weather at any time of year xxx

Ah the joys of living in Britain.....
Aprils one of those months that's either peeing it down or glorious sunshine. At least you have a back up plan, so should be ok. Unfortunately in the uk there's no guarantees on weather at any time of the year....
That said we are overdue a nice sunny spring and summer, so maybe you'll get lucky!
That said, I've seen some lovely pics of brides with fancy brollies and wedding wellies....
Xx

Thats the only thing that I am sad about not having the wedding here in Switzerland. The weather is so much more predictable! ha ha. I will just have to keep my fingers and toes crossed I guess!

I've known heat waves in April but could rain any day of the year. Would defo have a back up plan
There have been years where in April it has been boiling, and others it has been snowing! You just can't tell. But at least you have a back-up plan xxx

The weather in April can be varied - some years it's been quite hot whereas other years it has been quite wet (April showers). Have you checked with your venue re getting married outdoors - because as far as I know the law in England still states that the actual wedding has to be conducted indoors, on licenced premises.

I dont have any legal restrictions as the legal part of the marriage is done here in Switzerland. Ok so toes crossed for nice weather!
