Wedding Forum - We Met Online!...

Me (TheWillow82) and Matt (supertot) met on ********** back in December 2009 and now here we are planning our wedding! I hate the way people sneer at me when I tell them how we met! Did anyone else find their other half online too?

Yes, but facebook, not a dating site. We'd known each other at school but not seen or been in touch for just over 20 years.

me and h2b met online and im so glad we did i cant wait to be his wife love him so much people do that to me when i tell them how we met but i dont care we are hppy and that is all that matters

Me and my h2b met on the book of face too :) he was a friend of a friend and commented on a photo of me and we got chatting. I always feel a bit embarrassed when people ask how we met, it's silly really because people have different lives these days. They might have children or can't afford to get out the same so how else are you meant to meet people!

Yep, we met through a dating site. It's out 3 year anniversary tomorrow - the last one we'll celebrate on this date, and the last one that I'll be a miss for. It's a bit sad really! But we'll have another date to celebrate from next year, so lets look on the bright side! Hx

yep me to,i meet my now husband through the chat facility were i get my emails if that makes sense lol,a friend gave me his email address,i didnt add it at first,but then thought,what the hell,we started talking in september of 07 over the chirstmas he addmitted his feeling for me and in the january of 08 i found myself stood on a trainstation platform waiting to meet him,,it was the biggest chance iv ever taken but needless to say he didnt get back on the train to go back,we got engaged in may 08 and last year on may 15th i became his wife,i married my best friend and soul mate and i dont regret it at all.hes the best thing iv ever known,hed give me the earth if he could,and i love him with all my heart.our first year wedding anniversary was in may and we both sat and looked at our wedding album,remember ing moments and the pair of us smiling..meeting someone on line has certainly payed off for me.

We met on the fbook too :) he came up as one of my "suggested friends" and I thought HOT DAMN, and friend requested him hahaha!
Apparently he thought much the same and accepted :)

Mark and I met on line, dating site. Getting married next year ... July 26th with a Handfasting, cant wait.

i met mine on book of face too, but really cant see the difference between meeting someone online and someone at a nightclub or pub, you know more about someone on line as you tend to chat for ages before you meet then you do with someone in a nightclub :)

i dont care what people think I love my h2b and he loves me and thats all that matters.

we did ..........i had just gone through quite a trumatic time in my life and just wanted to talk .....found mr lala .....we spoke on line or on the phone for a month before i made him drive 200 miles to meet me ...with in 24hrs he had bookes a holiday to hawaii for my birthday. it then took him 6 months to persude me to move to where he was ....we have now been together 9 1/2 yrs and get married next year on out 10th anniversary.

I didn't meet my other half online but I met one of my best friends online about 9 years ago now and I would never in a million years have met him otherwise so I'm all for internet relationships

I met mine online not through a dating website though in Jan 2008 and plan to get married 4th May 2013
he is one of the nicest people I have ever met

Me and H2B met online think pretty much everyone knows as well on a dating website. (although once we had met we realised we had met many years before when i was 13 and he was 18)

I mett my htb online too a dating website and we chatted all day sometimes, took 6mths to meet up as i was unsure! Then we mett on a night out in town hes freind and mine also came along and have been together 5yrs and i have kids 2 kids with him and haven't looked back since!

Didn't think i would ever trust a man again and we have had some lovely holidays together,the birth of my kids he was fantastic,my Grandad passing away recently he has been my rock... Love him to bits xx Can't wait to get married!

Hes Mum met her husband online also... Shes now emigrated to Canada to be with him x Dating sites do work but you do get some idiots on them!

I met my h2b online 5 and a half years ago, we spent 3 months emailing each other four or five times a day before we actually met face to face, and by that time we had fallen head over heels for each other, we are so happy together and have a beautiful daughter. I still can't believe how lucky I am to have met him.
