had my 20week scan and weve found out were having a boy :)
We are VERY EXCITED!!
but we are stuck on names already :/ were thinking Zack so far..... but not quite sure if it quite goes with Vlad (surname)!!
Also people are saying even if you have a name before its born, it usually changes when it is..... how did you choose a name if your parent????

Oooo just had a nosey at your albums Katie! How come your having 2 dresses? Sorry for spamming your thread lol xxx
CommentAuthorLittle Kettle
Katie - great news! Very exciting indeed! I have no idea why, but the last few weeks I've been really drawn to the name Jack. It's kinda like Zack LOL!
The names I like are Oliver, Joel, Dylan, Finley & Alfie. Unfortunately every single one of these names has been taken for my cousins so I will have to think of something else. X
Getting married 29th June 2013!

We chose Jonah Benjamin as I wanted something a bit unique for the first name and then something really strong and traditional and biblical as a middle name. I wanted to change it to Oscar when he was born but my ex insisited it stayed Jonah and I'm glad I did stick with it now. H2b's planned our next 3 kid's names as Tabitha Ruth, Reuben Michael and Maisy Jane. Apparently I'm some sort of production like. Haha.

My first was going to be Robert all the way through until 2 seconds after he was born and I decided it should be Connor. With my 2nd we went thru weeks of finding names, then Steve just came out with 'Reece' one day and it just seemed perfect. So we have a Connor and Reece.
I have a gorgeous husband!

Ahh congratulation on having a boy! great news, When i was pregnant (i had a girl first) her name from my 20 week scan was always going to be Elise, and that stuck and i still love the name now, then my son arrived...we couldnt decide on a name , i like names a little bit out of the ordinary...but my husband at the time liked traditional. We eventually agreed on Connor, and it really suits him :) I love the names Harley, Harrison, Mason, Alfie, Jayden, Kai, Charlie. i am sure there are a few more, but thats off the top of my head :)....aww how exciting! xxx

Aww congatulations hun :) When I was pregnant I really thought I was having a son, and had picked a boy's name that i really loved, hadn't really thought that much about girl's name, until when I gave birth, there my beautiful baba girl was born, and it took us a few hours to think of her name because most names didn't seem special enough for her. H2b like Ella but I though it was to short, I prefer long names, mine is Roxanne and h2b is Christopher, so I came up with Ella-Rose, and that's what she's been called everyday since and it's perfect. i think you just know when you see thier wee face :)
CommentAuthorGazza 122
Awww Ella-Rose is beautiful, My friends little one is called Ellie-Rose :) i also like Ellie-Mae xx back to boys...my neighbour has a little boy called Tyler - very cute :) Issac is another lovely one...i knew there were more.......x
CommentAuthorOfficialMrsField
I had Lauren picked for my eldest but a week before she was due I thought of the name 'Melissa' and that stuck for her. My little boy is called Harry but that was picked even before he was concieved...lol. His daddy wanted to call him Harry after his grandad and I hated it but he got his own way and now he really suits it.
My youngest is Charlotte, which I also had picked but when she was born I really wanted to call he Aimee, but my OH wouldnt let me...so Charlotte it was. But she really suits that too.
I think you can pick a name but sometimes it does change when they are born.xx

We had our childs name picked out long before he was born. He's a boy so the girl name is still standing for a next one and there's also a boy's name lined up. We also have at least one more back up name for each gender (plus 3 more names, my son has 4 names and all subsequent kids will have 4).
To help you find a name - what's your criteria? Do you have certain preferances? How many syllabled for example or the "category" of names - do you like classic names, old-fashioned names, modern names or crazier choices?
To me it's important that the names of my children are not in the top 100 (my chosen girl name is unfortunately even in the top 50). We are very keen on old-fashioned granny names and actually that was a coincidence - they all have 7 letters. :-)
It’s so great to find that one special person
you want to annoy for the rest of your life....

i quite like the name Ethan too!! :)
CommentAuthorMrsSaraParry!
congratulations :o) Its really hard for me to think of names as I'm a teacher and everytime I find one I like I think of a horrible child with the same name so its puts me off!!! There are a few I like though - William, Oliver, Alexander, Harry, and I absolutely adore Logan (but Adam would never let me have that in a million years!) lol Girls it'd have to be - Danah, Isabella or Helena with Rose as a middle name :o)
CommentAuthorKylee27
Congratulations!
I love the name Dylan but h2b hates and and when we have children wants to call a boy Dallas (!) and a girl Suzy. I like the name Suzy but just can't stand Dallas!

I have two boys, Caleb and Adam. We never found out what we were having with either so were trawling through books of baby names. With our first we both looked through books and wrote down our top five and the swapped. Neither of us had one the same and Caleb wasn't even on a list. In the last few weeks of my pregnancy it just stuck.
With Adam we had it narrowed down to either that or Isaac, H2b wanted his middle name to be Roy (after h2b's dad) and as H2b's surname starts with an A we didn't want the initials IRA so went with Adam.
Soon to be Mrs Alexander

Congratulations, I've got 3 boys, Joshua, Joseph & Jacob, but we shorten them all, Josh, Joey & Jake LOL & if we're lucky to have another we love the name Zac xxx

Brilliant news hope you have a healthy pregnancy.
I have a little boy called Toby, we didn't know what we were having but for some reason we called the bump Archie, still really like that name but doesn't really go with Bowles as a surname. For the middle names we picked both of our dads names, Richard, Ernie...some may say a little cruel with the Ernie part but hey ho!
I also have a little girl who is called Aimee, we found out the gender when I was expecting but didn't tell anyone that we knew :-) Whilst I was carrying Aimee she had many different names, the ones that seem to stick were Isabelle and Imogen.
A friend of mine has just had a little boy and called him Arthur, think he will be an Arte for short which is quite cute.

When I was pregnant with my first. Me and my ex chose Rebecca for a girl or Thomas for a boy, anyway my ex was actually working with a Josef at the time and I commented that if it weren't for him I think I would have Joseph instead for a boy. Anyway an incident occured my ex wasn't at the birth so I got to have my lovely little Joseph. Which is perfect, never gets shortened and suits him really well.
When I was pregnant with my second we came to a boys name really quickly- Nathan. But deciding on a girls name was really tricky. I've always wanted a Charlotte but it hasn't been liked or Ashleigh but that was a no too. When I came up with Ella it was a mixture of thinking about Cinderella, Isabella or Bella. When I thought of it I knew it was perfect for a girl and was really worried that my H2B wouldon't agree. Thankfully he did! And so we had our names. And then our Ella a few months later!
I've never found out what I'm having (gender wise) and havn't thought about changing it once they've been born. A friend of mine says that they all have their own name anyway.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I would just read baby naming books and one really good tip is to try it out first.i.e. Imagine your in a park and have to call your child over, if you don't feel embarassed then it's probably a good name!
Good Luck xx

Roxy - my little girl is Ellie-Rose because I thought Ellie was too short. Turns out we all call her Ellie anways lol!
I thought I was having a boy too so had Michael, James, Jamie and Josh picked out.
The first time I held my LO I looked at my man and said, "Ellie?" and he just smiled. That was her name chosen when she was 14 minutes old!

Congratulations!! I have one son called Matthew James. We chose it before he was born - and the name just seemed to suit him even when he was born. Originally though we did come up with Thomas Edward - but then someone at his dad's work came out with 'oh don't you mean Tommy Teddy' which put him off straight away lol.

My nephew is called Haydn, and I love the name! We were determined that Jonah's name was never going to be shortened (ironic I suppose as both h2b and I are referred to by abbreviated versions of our own names!) I told h2b that if we call a boy Reuben then I want to call him Ruby and I think I've put him off now. Lol. Joseph is a gorgeous name, and so is Caleb! Xx

With my ex we never found out the gender for either of my girls so my eldest is courtney may..... i found out i was pregnant shortly after my nan died and the name felt right when she was born so her middle name is my nans name and if she was a boy she would have been lucas daniel. My middle child is called Rebekah jade and again a boy would have been lucas daniel.
With h2b we found out the gender so he has always been Bayley scott but the girls picked a girls name....just in case lol which would have been samatha louise. We have been talking about having another baby for awhile now so if we do the names are all picked already and they are samantha louise and nathan james!
