We have got all the ladies the same thing but personalised for them.... I can't say on here as one of my BM's is on here but feel free to send me a message when your online & I will let you know the details.

all the men have got different things....
    Best person - fb
    Best person - fb
    - best man frame & keyring £5.89
    engraved keyring for FIL2B - £4.99
Pocket watch with an eagle for my grandad whos giving me away £2.99 including a gift box from £land
superman cufflinks for our youngest - £1.20 including box
"X" cufflinks for our eldest (first letter of his name) - £2.35 including gift box from £land
Bright side glass from bay & cigar cutter from bay & gift box for h2b's witness - £10.62
Bright side glass from bay for my witness (paid for before finding he might not be able to come) - £8 if he can come im looking at getting something else but not sure what yet.

    Mens gifts
7 in total = £36.04 (with maybe another £10 left between my witness & our sons

    Womens gifts
    5 in total = £15! Bargain!

Means I have more money to pay for my latest obsession (bright side) but in my defence i plan on using alot of the items i buy from them to either tidy up the house by giving everything storage or to take on honeymoon/when we go away... for instance i have already got a security tin that i plan to use as a safe when on honeymoon as i dont believe the cottage has one, also the first aid tin will keep the first aid kit all together (we prefer to make our own first aid kits up as they are so much better & most of it does get used etc). So m not just spending for the sake of it.... theres a reason behind it all.... I have even gone through & put a note on each item telling me when to buy it & what its for including stocking fillers in time for next year lol.

I forgot to add that I am also making up hampers for the hotel rooms! to include....
    1. Basket to put it all in
    2. Paracetamol
    3. Ibrufen
    4. Slippers for him
    5. Slippers for her
    6. Shampoo miniture
    7. Shower gel miniture
    8. Face cloth for him
    9. Face cloth for her
    10. Travel kit for him (toothbrush, toothpaste, eye mask, ear plugs)
    11. travel kit for her (as for him)
    12. Bottle of water for him
    13. bottle of water for her
    14. apple for him
    15. apple for her
    16. Ritz crackers (to soak up the alcohol)
    17. home made heart shaped chocolates (8 each as thats how many years we will have been together the day we get married)
    18. Home made fudge (8 each as thats how many years we will have been together the day we get married)

Each hamper is costing £10.35 at a maximum (some people cant have certain things such as ibrufen chocolate etc) there are only 7 rooms at the venue including ours & some people will be in a room on their own making the hamper cheaper. We are also doing a hamper for our BM's who will be staying at ours the night of the wedding & babysitting. The hampers are costing £74.74 in total which works out at £9.34 per hamper or £4.98 per person (accounting for a room with only one person)

The hampers are half the reason we are being cheap for christmas this year but i dont care!

I have really enjoyed putting these hampers together & cant wait until i get to make the chocolates & fudge for them!

Yes once christmas is over with it will be so much better here too... I worked out my sons birthday this year (15th dec) puts us down to double figures!!!!

    Oh what a day!!!!

Went town, got wedding funds, did some shopping, got half way home & realised I forgot to drop in my grandparents whilst I was there.... went home sorted funds... realised I needed change for a £10 note & was short by £2.45 (that was due to the costa I treated myself to) went post office got the change & the £2.45, did school run, got home, sorted wedding funds again, cleared kitchen a bit, sorted this years tree decorations for the boys, did the boys dinner, got them to bed, sorted a few more bits... finally sat down & h2b got home so I had to sort our dinner, watched one episode of SOA & kept an ear out for the eldests coughing fits.... then he comes down stairs claiming to be hungry.... so I cant go bed yet cos I had to cook for him again (no snacks in the house that wont make him ill due to his allergies & we ran out of crisps... in all fairness I forgot to buy some on Friday)... Now I really wanna go bed, in so much pain with my back & knees... so tired but cant go sleep cos the 6yr old is sat on sofa eating potato croquettes whilst coughing his guts up.... is this day ever going to end?!

On the plus side.... Only £50 left of the wedding to pay for then £835 of honeymoon & I'm done!

Well its not technically paid.... but the money is sat there waiting to be paid. I have money bags with the exact amounts for each thing (to the point where corkage is seperate from appletizer for non drinkers, adult meals are seperate from childrens meals, i am also feeding my photogrpher & videographers so the money for their meals is seperate aswell. I have money for each bedroom seperate aswell so even though its all going to the venue its still all broken down into sections like it is when i keep track of the invoices).

With my job (I'm not allowed to say on here what I do due to advertising rules) I have all paperwork set up so when my venue had a management change & the new manager had no clue of my booking, I simply drew up my own paperwork to send to him with a break down of absolutely everything including....
    1. Package chosen (if any)
    2. room booked & at what price
    3. what suppliers would be used on the day
    4. what meals & at what price
    5. invited numbers
    6. details of evening reception including if a buffet is required
    7. breakdown of costs including deposit paid & a balance (with a note that states the amounts are subject to change due to RSVP's)
    8. Itinerary for the entire day from time of arrival to set up to leaving for ceremony, to arriving for photos, meal, evening guests arrivals, finishing time etc.

It literally has everything they could possibly need including food allergies of guests. So now a buffet is required I have just updated it stating the buffet needs to be invoiced seperately (i dont want anything to do with the hand over of future in laws money). So now I'm just waiting for the venue to get back to me regarding if its ok to go chat with them & check the ingredients of certain buffet items & what could be substituted instead. Then everything is sorted until the end of January when I will be chasing for final RSVP's. I am expecting most of h2b's side to include the rsvp's with christmas cards however at the same time much as the rsvp date is 7th jan, I will be leaving it a couple of weeks to get over the christmas postal service until i start to chase.

Meet with the venue in just under an hour, get to meet the new manager for the first time, so far over the phone I don't particuularly think highly of him, he seems to be one of those managers whom has come from the city to a small village & seems to expect the same amount of business etc.... but we shall see soon.

Will be discussing all sorts of things, well, everything really & I hope to get this evening buffet sorted & out of the way if im honest which invloves checking the ingredients packets of the majority of items on the buffet menu. which reminds me... i really should get a list together of the ingredients my eldest cant have!

Met the new Manager yesterday.... My H2B seems to have the same opinion as I do....

During the meeting the Manager clearly stated that we can have everything we have booked at the price we previously booked it at... EXCEPT.... the Appletizer?! He stated that if the Appletizer goes up in price between now & the Wedding Day (even if it goes up on the day itself) we would have to pay the higher amount.... despite the fact that we would be paying for it in advance. He tried to blame "Stock Rotation" for this! I got rather annoyed at trying to put my point across that when you go to a shop & buy something for £5 & then decide to take it back but the price for that item is now £5.50 you don't expect to get the extra 50p more than you paid, the same as if you bought something for £5 then took it back but the item is on sale when you take it back & is now only £2.50... you expect to get the full £5 you paid not the £2.50 its currently priced as... So getting annoyed I swiftly changed the subject & moved on to the next point.

So this morning when writing up the meeting confirmation from yesterday I decided to check the contract.... No where in the contract or the information pack does it state that the prices are subject to change. (It states that the menu's are "sample menu's" which implies the menu's may change, it also states that a bridal morning beauty package is not available at all locations, it also states that the final balance is based on the final head count but no where does it state that costs are subject to change). I called the head office & asked where they stand on the matter... the reply i was given made me chuckle..... a direct quote "tell him to stop being an idiot" lol so I have written into the meeting confirmation regarding that due to it not stating in my contract that prices are subject to change i am therefore liable to pay UP TO £2.30 per bottle of Appletizer & no more as this was the agreed price when i paid my deposit & booked. One thing I did sneak in there was that the Bridal Suite becomes free when 4 rooms are booked for the night of the wedding as per the wedding information (its not something i noticed until recently).

So yes we both have the same opinion of him, he seems to know what he's trying to get across, he is very head strong but lets see who backs down first shall we?! lol

Also Witness gifts FINALLY arrived today... I bought them ages ago!

Gosh, sounds incredibly petty of him to honour everything you have booked at the prices you agreed, apart from something as trivial as the @ppl3tiz3r! I'm not surprised you got annoyed.. how silly! Says a lot about him if that's what head office said to you though, lol. If he still doesn't back down then he can't really argue if you have spoken to head office about it.. Let us know x

well the email of the meeting confirmation has now been sent to him lol which does include that i have spoken to them (i didnt however give the head office details of names or which venue etc) I simply wanted to know where they stand on the matter lol.

I also realised that they will be handing details to resident DJ in January & so have just called the DJ myself & have an appointment at home with them on the 8th January... Our date is now booked in with the DJ! I figured with Christmas period etc the venue might not get the details to the dj until the end of january & so figure thats cutting it a bit close so took matters into my own hands lol

See the way I see it is....

If they are going to quibble over say 5p price increase between now & the wedding date... What else are they going to try to add on & bill me for after the wedding day?! So if I refuse to back down on this now... they will see its not worth trying to bill me after the wedding because if I'm willing to stand my ground over a small price increase then they will learn I will be willing to stand my ground over what ever else they try charging me for after the wedding. I refuse to roll over & take it!

Thank you ladies... I can't stand not being organised! My house may be a mess most of the time however, there is a box for bills, a box for random stuff the kids bring home, there are piles of washing for each person on wash day etc BUT the place IS always CLEAN it is always organised, even if I'm the only one that understands how its organised lol & I have lists for EVERYTHING! I have a major case of OCD but in specific areas of my life. (Ie I don't have a show home with my toothpaste at the perfect angle next to my sink, nothing on the floor except furniture etc however... i have lists upon lists, upon boxes of paperwork & did I mention lists?) My itinerary up to the end of the ceremony is done, so is my itinerary until the end of the night is done, my table plan only needs adjusting if we get a refusal but otherwise just needs printing off & putting together.

It sounds like you're really on top of everything. As it is a new manager I suspect he is trying to stamp his authority. It's a crazy thing to pick though; you'd think he'd say that the price per meal might go up, as that would make him more of a profit. At least you've got it in writing so he can't overcharge you.

well, i have emails from me to them stating the prices... the contract literally says nothing about the prices at all, it doesnt say that prices are subject to change but it also doesnt state what the prices are.

They never replied to the confirmation emails i have sent them confirming the prices i dont think... hmmm will go check now i think. Oh trust me... he wont get the chance to overcharge me. Everything will be done in cash & receipts will be provided. I know how much each thing is costing so if there is any difference i will have a major wobbly. Also mine & h2b drinks on the night will be paid there & then each time & will not be added to the "bill"

Went to the Venue tonight for youngest's early birthday meal (he's 5 tomorrow! Where has the time gone I think I signed up to this site whilst pregnant with him!!!)

Food was better than it was last time however it took so long to get served (we were the only ones there other than a smallish Christmas party) we were there for about 2.5hours & only had a main & dessert each!

I think its safe to say that they have not read the emails I have been sending them. The coordinator asked if the in-laws 2b were the in-laws 2b so i think she may have seen the releif on my face when i got to get up & go to the bar to ask about milk free puddings for our eldest... Mentioned it was the youngests birthday & they even brought his ice cream out with a candle for him!

Tomorrow is his actual birthday which also marks our 100 day countdown!
Tuesday we are in double figures! (nail biting begins).
    Then Christmas.
Valentines which marks the Anniversary of you ladies helping me write a poem to propose to him & him saying YES!
The Eldest "sort of" birthday (leap year baby).
    Then WEDDING!!!!

    That's it! Nothing in between!!!!

I dont have alot of room to place things like the candy buffet, the cake, the guest book & the card box.
Due to this i need to make it as compact as possible but without it looking too squished. So I am looking at having a shelf made with a drawer underneath to hold the tongs & scoops. The following is the inspiration I have used along with the publisher file I have created to show what Im wanting... Now I'm just figuring out the measurements....

Well the last dress arrived, the make-up brushes & make-up bag arrived christmas eve.

Been thinking about allergy tags for the buffet... I've seen some on fb but no one does them with the allergies i am having to contend with... so I made my own.....

    Allergy Tags
    Allergy Tags

I am going to mount them onto tent fold black card with enough space above them to write the name of the dish in a silver pen.

I also need to have a good sort out of the wedding stuff because I need to send the decorations for the cake to the baker on the 7th Jan 2015. Then it really will be real - having to send items for the wedding to someone so they can make the cake.... scary! So I think I will have to go through & sort out whats being taken to the venue & whats not so that its all packed & ready to go because atm its currently stacked up in my wardrobe & I can't fit anymore in there! I'm struggling to keep the wardrobe doors closed!

OK so a rather good day on the wedding/honeymoon front....

woke up this morning to an RSVP from his side of the family.
Found some faux pearl earrings I forgot I had bought.
Went to town & got some more funds (only £200 left of the cottage to pay now, £240 spending money, £200 fuel & £62 on a suitcase set)
Whilst in town I bought some stuff for the medic tin I bought, was saying to h2b lastnight I think we need to go through our first aid box & renew alot of it, so today I bought some of the stuff we didnt have in the medic box & threw out 3 boxes of paracetamol that had expired.... (we dont tend to use the stuff as I already take much stronger pain killers than that anyway!)

The Eldest has gone to work with h2b today so its just me & Superman & we are just about to snuggle up & watch The Jungle Book! (Although I do wish my neck would stop hurting, my youngest says I must have slept "Wonky" lol)

Well I got my parcel NYE turned up in the morning, a card for valentines for h2b, a card for the wedding day for h2b, a pill tin for the all important contraceptive on the wedding night.... a wash bag, his & her luggage tags, shoe cleaning kit for h2b & a "naughty tin" for the honeymoon essentials.

But it is that time of year where i can now finally say.....

I want to start chasing the RSVP's already.... they are due in on 15th January so can't really chase until 16th but I'm getting impatient because I expected most people to RSVP in Christmas cards.... but not one person did! It's just ridiculous how many people are left to RSVP! final numbers need to be in by 7th feb. They have had the invites since august.

I also need to find out who needs a room at the venue as there are only 7 guest bedrooms in the entire building & so far all of them are set aside for us.

I don't like the idea of table numbers, never have so was thinking that seeing as we have kids & I want tossible I was about thinking about having childrens character tabke names with on one side of the table name card having a picture of the character alog with its name then on the.other side of the card having a "fun facts" bit....
the table names we have thought of are

    1. Top table: Lola & Bugs (our nicknames for eachother & also loony toons)
    2. Mcqueen (eldest is obsessed)
    3. Superman (youngest is obsessed)
    4. Minions (kids & h2b)
    5. Mater (kids love)

Now I just need a list of fun facts for each.... any ideas?

Ok today I have finished the table name card. On the back of each there is a list of 8 facts relating to that character (we will have been together 8 years the day we get married)

I have also sorted the Allergy Warning Tags, these just need it written in Silver Pen at the top which item they are refering to & ticking the boxes needed.

I have also decided to do Activity Kits for the kids.... they are all personalised but I have covered over the names..... They each have 24 pages of activities. Now I just need some colouring pencils & maybe some bubbles & a couple of other bits. Here's one which will be for one of my sons....

Your activity books look lovely, what ages have you done them for and where did you get the things to put inside. We will only have two children all day, but would love to do something like this for them rather than just buying packs. Our son will be 7 and our friends little girl will be 18 months, so they'll want different packs, personalised one's would be lovely.

Also have you considered selling them on ebay after the wedding (not those one's obviously lol, but making new one's up to sell?) as I've seen some really rubbish one's on there, surely you could sell those if people are managing to sell the rubbish one's.

I love your table names as well :) We're considering making ours, but not as arty as you

My kids have said they want a photo booth when we get married so over the last couple of weeks I have been buying one or two things each time I pop into the land of pound..... we now have:

    1. Blow up micrphone
    2. Long wig
    3. Trilby hat
    4. Glasses/nose/tash things
    5. Blow up guitar in post

Next week I will probably pick up another wig & some silly glasses but today I also found my very first camera!!!! discovered the land of pound have some film in stock atm, the batteries are so old the name has changed for them but I can get hold of new batteries for £1.05 each from the local electrical store so might use it for the photobooth!

heres how old & naff it is lol....

I don't understand why some people take so long about it. I would RSVP straight away if I received an invitation because I just like being organised.. unorganised people grind my gears!!

I would RSVP straight away too, unless I had a good reason like not being able to book holidays until later on. I hate it when people wait until the last minute. I just wish I put my RSVP deadline sooner!

Oh I don't blame him then lol, got a lot going on. As long as you have the day guests finalised (excluding him) that's the main thing. You can pretty much guess the evening guests ifyou need to. We were going to round ours down a little when we have to give numbers as we haveto pay for 90% of guests for the buffet which is a lot :/

blimey... i TOLD the venue the head count is 70% (they say 80%). I have also sent them the costs of things (going by what they said originally - despite the new manager trying to make changes). So when I create the invoice for the Evening Buffet (h2b's parents paying) then I will state the amount of people, state the percentage catered for & state the amount to be paid... the venue dont really have much option as they havent sent me any confirmation letters its me that sent them but then im rather OCD so i probably didnt give them much chance lol

Oh I don't think I could get away with trying that myself lol. Good job your venue has a new manager who doesnt seem to have a clue (i remember the post about appeletizers etc) so sounds like you've got chance of it all going your way and them not having a leg to stand on lol

Just got a message.... just wanna cry..... he can't make it.... feel like my own brother can't attend my wedding...... i completely understand his reasons (he would hate for the baby to come early & miss the birth of his child & his wife wont be able to fly over), i mean if he had come & got a call i would send him on the first flight back to her as i would hate for him to miss that just for me thats horrible but it doesnt mean it doesnt hurt knowing he wont be there.... im just so upset right now but also happy for him... my feelings are just so messed up i feel so torn.

OK So I have had my 3 things by now this past week surely?

    1. My Best mate of 22years can't make it
    2. RTTS is taking a gap year so honeymoon plans are screwed pretty much
    3. managed to upset my Grandad cos he decided to take it upon himself to ask my uncle to be my witness as my best mate can't come, so my initial rection was to say "What did you go & do that for?! It's supposed to come from me surely?!" - This comment upset him on Sunday to the point he didn't want to speak to me yesterday!
    4. My leaflets for the men (instead of orders of the day) were due to be delivered tomorrow, however, I went to track my order, turns out they can't be delivered & to call the supplier, so called vista to find they have no clue but have "Re-Ordered" them for me & sent out free of charge & should still be here tomorrow, called the courier service to be told the van that was delivering them got broken into & my parcel was stolen!

Safe to say I'm not the happiest of bunnies right now & still have chasing to do regarding Evening RSVP's... Not impressed!
