Well the wedding didn't turn out as planned! At all!
The day before without warning my knee dislocated, the bone was right out, and as I fell down I hit my head off the wall. No one was at home but me and my 2 year old daughter, the phone was down stairs so I dragged myself to a window, managed to open it and screamed for help, and put a help status on fb as OH's ipod was were I fell...
Someone heard me and knocked down my front door, I was rushed to a&e, given 3 hits of morphine and after about 4 hours they got my leg back in place. Luckily no fractures but im in a knee splint, have a wheelchair & crutches as this is now the 2nd time in 3 years this has happened. gotta go back for more scans next week to figure out how to prevent this happening again!
so we went ahead with the wedding, but I was crying in agony all morning! And had to get married in a wheelchair, I had asian tourists taking photos of me :/ but as soon as I saw Chris waiting for me everything melted away
so happy that we're now married but its been hell, we hd to cancel any honeymoon plans, he's had to look after me completely as I cant even get to the toilet :(
They think it'll be about another month or so before I can walk on the leg properly, and even then this could all happen again so I'm really down at the moment and in a bit of post traumatic shock due to how horrific it was dragging myself to scream out a window for help :(
my dress noone really saw as i was in a wheelchair, my hair didnt look how i'd planned as it was supposed to be done the day I had the accident. I didnt get to cut the wedding cake, people forgot to lay out the sweet buffet I'd done and it was just a real disaster
Just glad that we went ahead with gettin married though and even though I was in agonising pain, the ceremony was beautiful and I couldnt stop smiling as I married my best friend :)
In a few months when I'm better we're going to have a 'faux wedding party' so I can wear my dress, look how I wanted to on our day and actually have a first dance with my husband! x

Awww hunni I'm so sorry things didnt turn out quite how you wanted! But like you say you married your best friend and thats the main thing! Maybe In a few months when your knee is better you could have a blessing or something so you can wear the dress again and do everything you didnt get to do this time! Hope your knee gets better soon and huge hugs hunni!

OMG! Oh Glitterpix I am so sorry to hear that, but the main thing is you are now married and a faux wedding party will be fantastic....
you HAVE to show your dress off......and you can have pictures taken that can just go in your wedding album too.
Yes you could have a blessing or commitment ceremony ...... theres no need to have the whole reception thing again as i am sure it would be a bit expensive.
what about a BBQ at home? or a pub lunch or something?

ive put a few pic on my page of the ceremony, theyre not very good as i couldnt pose for pics lol
i think we'll do just a nice family get together meal and dress up and do photos then so we can have a wedding album of sorts!

omg how terrible for you, i hope the pain isnt too bad today. I am glad you still got married though and as you said now you have to have a little do so you can have your dress on again and do the things you couldnt on the day x

aww babe soooooooooooo sorry hunny!!! save all ure stuff and re do it like u said, mayb u cud hav a blessin too so u can walk up aisle, my h2b has dodgy knees and 4 years ago his disclocated while playin foottie and he stupidly put it back in place himself which made it worse ( and i cant even imagine the pain- i was an orthopaedic nurse) he was in a striaght legt cast for good 4-6 weeks! but wud of been less if he had not put it back in

Aww hun xx well done you for going through with the wedding being in that much pain, i hope docs can sort you out so that dont happen again, it sounds savage :( As ladies mentioned above, being married was..and IS the most important part of the day, and at least you can have another occasion where you can show off your dress etc as you will heal and recover xxxx

Oh my goodness,how terrible for that to happen let alone the day before you get married, so pleased though that you still managed to get married even if it was not how you intended it too. Wow, well that really was quite the adventure and can completely understand why you're feeling the way you are now...having said that...CONGRATULATIONS to you and your husband!
