So since I got engaged been really struggling to find BM dresses that me, OH and BM like in a colour my H2B likes. He has been a nightmare over colours but I have just found one that I like, he likes and in a colour he likes (just hope my BM like butt hink they will)
The only problem is they from The Bay and as Im not getting married for 2 years I dont no want to do as concerned if order them now never no what will happen (one BM on about baby att end of year etc) but If dont order them how easy it will be to either get them made nearer the time or find something the same etc?
What should I do???

I'm in the same boat as you. I have got my choices down to about 3 at the moment and they are all off the bay too. Not getting married for a while yet and three of my BM's are pregnant at the moment and never know will happen closer to the time. But I'm keeping in mind that if I buy them once I've decided I can always alter them if needs be at the time...

I know the feeling, except my wedding is next year... I found a gorgeous fg dress online & want to get it now. Already spoke to my MOH about it as its her daughter. And we agreed to get a size 3. as she will be 3.5yrs old. if need be im sure it would get taken in

I'd do what Mrs Brammer said she's done. Email the supplier and ask if they ae going to be around in 6months time. At least that gives you a bit more time. x
Oops just realised that's you!! God it's been a long first week back at work ! My brains a bit fried i think! lol. x

It's always a risk no matter when the dresses are ordered. People get fat, skinny, pregnant, get really dark tans.... etc. I know someone that ordered her dresses 18 months ahead and the worst thing was that her sisters dress needed to be taken in. Look on the bright side, if there are any problems you'll have plenty of time to get them corrected.

I'm in the same position, saw the dress i wanted for my MOH about 6 months ago and bookmarked it, every now and again i check that it's still online (thankfully its not on the bay) but i don't know how long i can leave it. I'm thinking of getting it a bigger size and having it altered if needs be. Good news for you that they've said that it's going to be continued :-) x

know how you all feel!!! I've found a dress on the bay of e, loved it and was only £32 compared to £165 i've seen a very similar dress for in the high street!!! Didn't know what to do............so, i've ordered 1!!! For £32 i couldn't not, and at least i'll get to see what it looks and feels like in real life and all the BM's can try it on (might not perfectly fit all of them, but they'll all be able to see what it looks like on even if it doesn't do up!). And the seller accepts returns, so if it's completely awful, i can return it.
Will also be able to see what size it comes up as, whether it's normal, or small for the size.
It's been despatched so can't wait to see it now!
I know my wedding is over a year away, but for that price, i couldn't not risk it!!
Was also a bit upset that if the dress is perfect, we'll miss out on having that shopping experience with us all, and them getting to try lots of different ones on. But as one of my BM's pointed out, we could still do that, but for shoes and accessories rather than the actual dress!! And with a saving like that, i could stretch to buying them all their shoes which i would love to be able to do!

I have done this, found a dress I love and the BM love too, so sent of the measurements of a BM that I think is like to stay the same size but ordered it a tad bigger to be taken in. I also emailed the seller to see if they would give me a discount if I order the remaining 5 dresses from them - you don't ask you don't get! Lol X

Sharon, I got my wedding dress (£50 from cancer charity shop) 18 months before and my MOH dress (£15 instead of £120 from he bay)as they were both such a bargain! Got my little sisters too (£20 instead of £45) (She would be 9) but now none of paternal family are coming so i just stuck it back on the bay!
I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a
Wright wedding!
