    Hey all
Need a bit of advise. I'v come across these water beads and really like them, dont know why but I do!!!!
Anyway, for my centerpiece's, I'm wanting fish bowls, with white Calla Lilies and I was thinking of putting a few, not to many of these water beads in the bottom. But I dont know if they will look right together and I would just ruin them by putting these in.
I do have pictures in my profile, of how I want my centerpiece to look ( flowers are the wrong colour though!!) and also a picture of these water beads.
Can you please honestly tell me wht you think please, as I'm not really very good at this kind of stuff. Thanks .xxx

My BIL2B had fish bowls, filled the bottoms with the water beads, hid a fake candle light thing in the beads to light it all up and then had a big cala lily sat in the middle and had bear grass around the inside of the bowl. Not sure I've explained it very well but sounds similar to what you want and it looked stunning, I loved them and it looked so pretty lit up x

I really like the idea behind the water beads but not sure if they would work with your centrepieces as I think they might obscure the lillies. Is there any way you can try it out?

I love these beads.....i'm having them in purple.....looked at your table centres.....they're lovely btw, but don't think the beads would work well with that style, they might distort the shape of the flowers. The beads are quite heavy coz they soak up water so think it would probably be best just to have them in water.
    Hope this helps. x

Yeh I would have some purple as well Flossie as thats my colour theme. My mum came up with a good idea though of how I could use some. At the night do, there will be more tables than there was for the wedding reception, so for the extra tables that wont have centrepieces on, I was going to get some ballons, but she said about tying the ballons to some small but heavy weight and place it in a not too big vase, filled with these water beads.
And melody, I love the idea of having a light in them. That would look brill at the night do. :) xx

Oh lulliebuscuit, you should have a look, they are brill. They are these tiny looking beads, then you soak them in water for a few hours and they soak it in and expand. They come in loads of colours. Not too expensive to buy eaither.

I think the beads are nice, but I don't think that particular style centrepiece needs them to be honest - they look lovely as they are and the beads might be a bit too much x

These all look beautiful, my MOH is going to help with the centre pieces as she is really creative

I like the idea of the water beads with the lights in at night - what kind of lights do you put it? Will the water in the beads not affect them?

Some sellers hire them! (on the bay)
Some sell them quite cheap but it does depend on how big you want them!
