I got my dress from the one in Wakefield. In fact I was picking my dress up when the 2 girls was walking in on the show. I remembered them for some reason.

Just tried my dress on and it was just like it was when I had my fitting. Perfect fit. :) feel happier now. What issues have u had cazza? My dress only turned up 5 weeks to the wedding was constantly on the phone to them. They're not very good with customer service. But the dress is fine

I didnt get my dress from here, but this shop has got a 1/2 page spread in my venues brochure, my venue recommending them. Do u think i should email my co-ordinator and make sure she knows. Could be bad for business x

Last night they were saying there were testimonials on one site from lets say someone called Sarah about how wonderful her dress was beautiful and perfect etc etc and then a corresponding one on the other shops site for the same woman?!

I agree with the watchdog show about the fraud side of it but the girl left the shop with an ill fitting dress, did they not do fittings. I can't see that. I did.

I agree with the point it wasn't right! I'm just wondering why any bride would leave a shop parting with 1600 for a dress which didn't fit. Did they not do a fitting? They said all the same to me and I'm just glad I got my dress when I did coz I bet there will be a lot of brides who will find them shutting shop and fleeing. I knew they was living out their **** when they said it was there own design coz I'd tried the same dress on in a different shop. But I wasn't going to grumble with the price. When I saw the program I was more worried that the dress didn't fit. The more I thought about it the more I thought that they threw the dress not being fitted right to make it worse. I personally wouldn't recommend them coz I think the customer service was rubbish. I feel bad for the brides who have already put deposits down :(

Was it not that brides paid for the dress, which maybe they had tried on and didn't fit properly then, so the company said they'd do alterations etc. bride came to pick dress up and it was as ill-fitting still as before and no alterations had been done? Or was it actually a fact that they went and bought the dress and gave measurements and it wasn't made to correct size? Coz no one in their right mind would buy a dress and take it away without trying a dress on first. xxx

I think they tried it on, paid for it etc and when they picked it up it wasn't right. Feel really sorry for all the brides affected, it's such an important part of the day xx

I think if I was going to pick my dress up,I'd give it one more try in the shop to make sure it's perfect...my shop said I can go in as many times as I want to try it as mines already there waiting :-)

Now not to be the person to put ideas in the "bad guys" heads,
but surely anyone wanting to scam like that (rip off designer dresses and claim to be custom made to specific size) would think to just send the bride's measurements to one of the china dress companies on The Bay? Not only are they scam artists but they're also as thick as pig muck lol
All joking aside tho, its awful that they're doing this and ruining brides big days. :(

They told the bride that the dress was there own design and specifically made to measure to each brides EXACT measurements - hence the extra cost involved. If the brides measurements stayed the same then the dress that they got would fit like a glove.
The show said that brides had complained to them that the dresses werent their own designs and werent made to measure. The fake bride that rogue traders sent in ended up with a generic size 8 that even had the size sown into the dress - so wasnt made to measure. She did have a fitting when she collected the dress and the dress was massively huge on the boobs but the person doing the fitting said she would have to take it up with the owner as she hadnt taken the measurements - the owner had. When the fake bride called up the shop owner to ask why the size 8 label was there and that the dress was total wrong boob size the owner was saying that it was the brides fault and she has had them all stressed out making her dress! Totally fobbing the bride off!

Yeah the fake brides dress was indecent on the boobs it was so big and they got a proper wedding dress designer to look over dress who said that the dress was made from cheap fabrics polyester etc and probs only worth £250 - not £1600 that the fake bride had been charged. She also said the dress was definitely not made to the brides measurements cus the cut of the bust was totally wrong and and would be extremely hard to make it that wrong if they'd known her measurements x

as much as I can sympathise with the brides getting ill fitting dresses, why didn't they try it on before leaving the premises? if it didn't fit id be refusing to take it home and either have it altered or give me my money back as I haven't received what I have paid and signed for, then it would be ME getting the solicitors involved, never mind them threatening it
As far a them passing off designs as their own, I noticed they didn't address that in their responses to the show. (I still haven't actually watched it, I read it on the website) surely they should be getting prosecuted for fraud??
They don't sound like the nicest of people with their weird contract clauses about negative reviews etc, but why anyone in their right mind wouldn't try their dress on before leaving the shop beggars belief.
It appears as though they are getting dresses from china then massively inflating the prices.

I think this is exactly what they are doing. The researcher did try the dress on, and she could physically turn the whole thing right round 360 degrees. Largely due to the fact that she could fit a sony walkman, and iPad, a mobile phone and the odd Tonka toy down the front of her dress!

i also watched this too and was so shocked about the whole thing. With the way they spoke to the ladies, i would have turned and run a mile without even trying on any dresses. But i am very picky on things like this.
I hope the ladies that have ordered from here your dresses are done well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
