So I'm looking for a bit of advice please!

I have just been notified by my venue that they now have wall drapes they can use but as they are a BRAND new product my co-ordinator has e-mailed me asking me what my budget is in regards to the drapes and seeing if its something that can be applied.. I have NO idea about how much I would budget for drapes!! Couldn't they just give me a price!! lol

Is anyone having drapes? Do any of you know how much approx. they are? I don't even know where to start!! xx

Sorry I have no idea, think your best get would be to get some quotes from local wedding decorators and go from there

If you get quotes at least then you can be aware if they are charging you too much, if it's new, you want a good price. Be cheeky and say you'll have them free on the acceptance that you give excellent feedback on it for future guests seeing as its brand new

What an odd thing to ask you. Surely they should be the ones finding out how much wall drapes normally are? I personally would expect them to be included in the venue cost.

It depends on the type of drape.. We got led drape prices and we were quoted £250 for curtain and top table skirt

There are so many different types/styles so they probably wanted to know your budget to offer you styles within your price range. The best thing to do is ask them what they plan on charging and get a different quote if you like the idea of them. I'm having full length drapes, coloured bows/detail and lights for under £130 for a room that holds up to 150.

Well I heard back from them late yesterday and they adv that for the day their prices were starting from £500 upwards - our room holds 250-300 people and it includes the wall lights, ceiling to floor drapes and the ceiling ones coming from the centre light as well. Decided I wanted to be fussy and said I didn't want them all day only for the evening reception - they have an agreement and get someone else in to put them up and set them etc etc so I was expecting them to say like £700+ which would be a hell no! They actually said they would do it for us for £275 all in...?

I think this is quite good? thoughts? xx
