So now I've finally chosen my music... Something was just playing on my mind & straight off knew I had to ask.

How do you work it / time it with the song?
My one has a small intro & then when lyrics start I'm thinking for FG & page boy to walk in, followed by my BM then my MOH and then finally me.... But for it to time well with the music?
How did you all do it? Or doing it? Or are you winging it?

All this time choosing your song & obviously barely any will get played.

Now we've decided I can't stop listening & so glad got a videographer as can use it in the video edit!

    Xx

Are you having a rehearsal? That would be the ideal time to figure out how long it will take to get everyone down the aisle and when to cue your music. Otherwise, I'd let the song play for a couple bars and then send everyone on their way x

My stepsons, MOH and bro will walk down before me to the music that had been playing as the guests arrived, then I will follow when my entrance songs gets about 10 secs in :-)
I've never been to a wedding (church or not) where the bride entered on the same song as her wedding party...... It's always been a change of song so that people know the bride is about to enter xxx

We didn't practice at all. And I had the worlds shortest aisle to walk down so we winged it on the day. I walked into Canon in D, the string version. Flower girl walked in first. Then my 2 BMs together and I waited at the bottom for them to sit down before me and dad walked in. Then they just faded the music out. I'll be honest though I barely noticed the music I was that nervous! I was halfway down the aisle before I realised they got my music right xxx

thanks ladies. no we arent having a rehearsal, its at a hotel so dont think thats as common as church / religious ceremonies etc.

    Oh really Georgi?
I take it by that its not common for the song to be used for all bridal party and bride?
just thought it would be nice for us all!! To me, using the background music for bridal party wouldnt they sort of go unnoticed, as you say change of song people are aware something happening, where as background music for seating guests, they wont take much notice if fg/bms start walking in to same music as theyve just spent the last 30 min listening to?

Thats the thing, dont think we have a very long aisle to be fair! i know whatever happens it will no doubt be a wing it job tbh! and i can imagine as you say Natalie I won't take much notice either!!

But still nice to get a heads up and see what others have done!

    xx
