Hi all (sorry if there's another category already - I did look!) - going a bit OTT on wedding planning today while I have some free time...just wanted to get people's opinions on a vodka ice luge?
1. Firstly - tacky or not? My family is Russian and there's going to be lots of vodka flowing anyway (considering personalised shot glasses as our wedding favours!) so I thought this might be a nice feature.
2. Average price - having a hard time trying to find info online and most companies require contacting for a detailed quote - wedding isn't until August next year so it's just a thought at this stage.
3. Has anyone ever had one/been at a party where there was one? How did it go down?
I worked christmas parties lat year on a vodka luge bar. It was great fun and there was a constant queue, the theme for the parties though was soiree in siberia so was very appropriate. I think given that you have the shot glasses it prob be good idea.
As for price i havent a clue though

p.s welcome to the site , if you would like to recieve friend requests and have way to allow people to post useful links on your wall you will need to unrestrict you profile
I was at a wedding fayre the other month and there was a company there who do this and other ice sculptures, they even had an ice table plan which I thought was amazing! Sadly though our reception is in a greenhouse so not suitable, but a friend in London had luges at their wedding the other month and it went down a treat!
Why don't you just google them and send off for enquiry quotes to get an idea of prices?

Quotes are coming in at £400-£900! Is £400 still a bit steep? Wondering if it's worth it after all....
