We have finally narrow our list of venues down from over 80 to 5!!! Now we have arranged to go visit them, the first being tomorrow. As we have not finally chosen between then I don't want to bog them down too much with question in case we don't choose them. And we have already asked them the main ones like how many can you hold, can you do a hog roast etc etc. So my question to you lovely ladies is: what should we look out for when visiting a venue for the first time?

Yeh stick to your guns it should matter how long it takes to narrow your search down, then when it's between one or two maybe three have a more definate list of questions.

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

I've not had a problem with venues when taking photos. It helps you to remember the good things about them when you are choosing which one to book. Its also nice to keep a record for you to go back to when your booking other things for the rooms etc. Make sure you ask things like where are the toilets, are there disabled ones (if you have any guests that need them and for you when you need the loo in your dress) Do they have any restrictions on times, noise etc, Are there any other weddings on that day? Where do the guests go while they change the room around for the night do. Where can you have your pictures taken? Can you change the menu to suit and what charges are inccured? Can you have fireworks etc if you want them? What happens if it rains-were do people go? Can you store luggage and wedding prezzies safely? Do you need any insurance liability and if so how much? Do they provide a sound system or lighting at all? How big is the dance floor? How much room can the Dj or band have? Do they provide linen etc? Do they set up all your favours etc and if so how do they go about this so they know how you want things? If having civil is there someone to play the music and change cd's for you or room for a harpist etc? Are you seperated from the other guests or do you have to share facilities? The list can go on..... I'm still asking my venue loads of questions and I've booked them lol

    flippin ek jo, lol......

I saw a venue at first it gave me goosebump, having sat on it a while and revisiting im now not sure and have started looking around again..... so some would say jump on it straight away if you love it, but i say wait a week or so make sure its not just excitment of it all, sleep on it then go back and say yea i want it!
