Hiya I have a beautiful Alfred angelo wedding dress it's a corset back dress so I'm worried wearing a shrug/jacket type thing might ruin the look of my dress. I really need a cover up though as I have one of those "what was I thinking" tattoos on the top of my arm (major mistake). I really don't want the tattoo in my pics. Is anyone else wearing a shrug or jacket? And do you think they take away the look of the dress? :-)

From reading other posts on here I believe there is some kind of make up you can use to cover tattoos if you don't cant a shrug. I'm sure someone will mention it here soon x

Have you thought of make up to cover your tattoo instead?? Theres a thread around here somewhere about specialist makeup that will do that, i'll see if i can find it

I will probbably wear one... maybe even a coat or somethin as it will b middle of winter..
Dont think they take away look if its all nice and matching.
Or you could try and hide tatto with makeup ..

I've bought a nice fake ivory fur one from baye which I'm going to have a button put on so I don't have to hold it whilst wearing it. It's only for travel between hotel reg office and reg office venue as, in November, it may be a bit chilly. If you get a nice one to compliment your dress it should look good.

I actually have a long sleeved bolero thing that comes with my dress and will be wearing it at some point in the day, but maybe not the ceremony. I think boleros are quite popular at the moment. when i was in Debenhams yesterday They had loads of different ones. May be worth having a look at your nearest department store.x

Thanks the make up sounds good although the dress is very White lol I could just get the nasty thing removed I guess. Ohh I forgot it going to be cold in October so will prob need a shrug anyway as I'm sure I'm cold blooded and will prob be sat on honeymoon in Miami wearing a huge coat hahaha

I have a really big block of black on my tattoo and my friend gave me some concealer she got from QVC designed to cover acne and scars and it works a treat. I'm using that rather than a shrug as if I get hot I would want to be taking a shrug off rather than turning into sweaty Betty.
