Just wondering what peoples opinions on are having a videographer? i think i potentially want one but my other half doesnt as doesnt see the point. I have found one for £400 which looks ok

We are not having one as neither of us find it particularly important - for us the memories and the photos will be enough. However I can understand why lots of people opt to have one, and at £400 I think that's an absolute steal!

That's one thing we both wanted its important to us and I like the ide aof being able to watch it again and again and show our children and people who cannot attend can watch it! A few of my friends regret not having one so it was on my important list. £400 is a good price ours is almost double that xx

If I could find one for £400 I would be tempted to have one. But like Sarah said, most quotes will be at least double that. xx
I didn't want one to begin with as I thought it would make me feel uncomfortable but OH did. He said it captures things that photos don't and would be nice for our kids to watch so we booked one. Once I seen samples of the videos from the person we booked I don't regret it one second. He has 2 camera men and literally catches everything. I watched a video of his the other day and in it was the dad of the bride winking at the mum of the bride after he walked her down the isle as if to say that's it our little girl is getting married. Anyone we have spoken to says they are very professional and you barely realise they are there.

We have one but our photographers daughter does the videos for them. With everyone saying how fast the day goes, to us we wanted the opportunity to look back and see things like, the look on my face as I come down the aisle and OH reaction of seeing me..... It depends if it's important to you. £400 is a good price. Ours is only £287 however we are paying £1500 for the photographer!!!

We just had a couple of family members doing it for us so cost nothing. My dad did all the editing and included photos in too. It's great if you can afford it.

I'm SO Obsessed with a videographer company I've found online, but they're based in the UK and now we've changed our wedding to France I don't know what to do?! I'm 100% convinced that we are going to have them, I just need to try and find extra money to pay for them to travel over. My Fiancé really isn't fussed, and thinks it's a total waste of money, but I honestly think that it's just as important to have as a Photographer, as a videographer can capture all the atmosphere that a photographer can't! I think as the one you like is only £400 you should definitely go for it. In the future, you won't miss £400, but there's the chance that you could regret not having your one wedding day on video for your children to watch. Go for it! Xx

Not for me, but then I'm very self conscious and would hate to see myself on video! I'm nervous enough about seeing the photos. I'm probably slightly metamorphic, so for me it's a big no!!

We're having one - we decided it's one thing to have photos etc but having memories of what people were saying/ messages from friends and family (part of the package we're having) and being able to look back and watch the speeches etc again and again is quite a biggie to us :-) xxxx

That's a fab price! Ours is costing £700. We wern't going to have one as couldn't afford it but after saving all my tips from work I've managed to get enough money together. It will be lovely to look back at the dvd and see things we wouldn't have seen etc. Really pleased we have one booked x
