Me & mum have both been looking at venue's this evening and saw a gorgeous historic house which i loved, they have 3 rooms the biggest being the long room which seats 60 guests which leaves both me and h2b with 30 guests each, the grounds are gorgeous and we'd have lovely pictures, i just wouldnt know which family members to ask and who not to ask as i'd feel so guilty, we only want a small wedding with close family. Are any of you in the same boat? xx

How many can you invite for the evening? You can have close family for the day and the others at the evening reception :o)

I had an argument with my mother when we wanted to get married somewhere that could only hold 60 people :) I wanted to cut out some of my cousins, but she didn't want me to.
If I were you, I'd make a list of people who'll HAVE to be invited, and run it by parents as they might have views on who can and can't be left out. Whether you listen to them is up to you of course!

We are having our evening reception at a different venue (hotel) which caters for 250 people? I have also wanted to cut cousins out many of them will be old enough to do their own thing and probably wont want to come to a wedding, making a list sounds like a great idea 'drunch punch' thankyou, its so hard because i have extended family (real dad's family etc) although i have never called him dad due to having an amazing step dad from the age of 2, i think it will cause many an arguement if they arnt invited? Familys ey! xxx
Well I have just hit the Jackpot!! Just discovered that my mums old friend works at the hotel I am having the wedding. Shes found me on facebook and told me not to tell anyone she told me but she knows exactly where they get their supplies and extras from and they are half the cost. I'm gonna save a fortune because they already told me I can buy it myself "but it may be more costly to do so" Makes you laugh. lol.
