Hi everyone, i used to be a member of this forum and had lots of help from you lovely people to organise my perfect wedding and i was wondering if you could all help me help my best friend.

She is desperate to get married and has her hear set on nect july, however she has a very small budget and wants to try and have the perfevt day for as little as poss. Firstly we need to find her a venue, somewhere in the derbyshire, nottinghashire area, could be a pub, welfare, etc that we can make look really nice ourselves. She is having the ceremony at the registry office so just needs somewhere for a reception, she has a list of between 150 and 200 evening guests.

Please please let me know if you have any ideas that can help us, i would really appreciate it

    Thankyou in advance

    sarah

Ah I see...there's Risley park, don't know if she will be able to do her own food..

Also the meadows inn do just room hire

And the Lucosade power soccerdome in derby does free room hire, has a bar, looks quite good and allows you to do your own food
I think there's one of them in Nottingham, too?

Think nailers at helper is quite cheap? Xx

The Rolls Royce Engineers club in derby is quite good my friend got married there and all he had to do was pay a deposit which he got back after the wedding if there were no damages. His mum did the buffet was a lovely evening !

I'm having mine at Nottingham Rowing Club... Doing our own food (Thinking of getting a pizza delivery!!) and it's cheapest I found and doesn't feel like a typical 'Working mans club' xx

have a look at village halls - a lot are large enough for your friend and some supply crockery and cutlery which will make it more classy than using disposable and still keep the costs down. They are also generally cheap and flexible - some are really pretty.
