    CatrinaP you actually are :-)
i was told no aswell to have one at my venue as the venue needs insurance ect.
so i made a suggestion. im having a hog-roast BUT its not being cooked at my venue. the hog-roast caterers are cooking it then there bringing it to my venue and its going on my evening buffet table. it will still be warm when served as its coming in heatable trays, its also coming boneless so no mess after!! worth a ask :-)x
CarolineD0 im using a company called the hogfathers, my hog is for 300 guests and is costing £900. but i know they do a hog for 150 guests for around £450 if any help x

It might be worth contacting local hog roast companies to see if they could recommend venues for you. You could also look into village halls & sports clubs.
There is a hotel at WF15 6JA that offers hog roasts.
