Mine have increased to allow for VAT (which I expected), but you would think that unless it is in the small print they shouldn't be able to add an overall price increase?????

There is nothing in the terms and conditions to say the price may go up, and we haven't been asked to sign anything to say we agree to any potential price hikes.

OH went mad when I told him this evening, we habe both looked through the papers again and again and it clearly states twice that price is £750, no-where does it say that there will be an additional charge in two years....argh!

you need to speak to them i too got my venue to give me written confirmation that the price will not change with any price change or increase in taxes so get on the phone and get all this soughtes as soon as hon

ours gave the 2012 prices with the VAT increase and we were told that it can change either against us or on our favour. We were warned a lot of venues do the same when we brought my dress as I said I wanted to get main things booked to avoid VAT hike.... not happened... everywhere passed on the VAT even if we booked in 2010 arguing that they could because the service wasnt needed until 2012 grrrrr. Venues are notorious for it but phone them up anyways and if really unhappy, you could have a chat with TStandards and see where you stand?

I'm pleased to say that we stood our ground and the venue have agreed they ballsed up, they were meant to send a letter to us saying that they reserved the right to increase the price in two years time, as they didn't they have to hold the current price us, woo! we have it in writing so all is now well, phew :)

Definitely, just need to find a venue for the rest of the day now :)
