tyipically when have you been asked for your payments from your venue. we have put our deposit down and she has sent us an invoice today and it says next payment 8 weeks prior and final payment 8weeks prior to wedding date.
and it makes me wonder when everyone else has had to make their payments

usualy anywhere from 8-4 weeks for venues depending on what type of venue.. ours is a mnth before the date like most final payments for us x (i love the suit one - "2 days before on the date u pick up the suits" lol bt itll be paid well before the then tho)
theres no set dates other than final ones for us x

As MrsK2b says, your contract should set it all out for you. Ours stated that we had to pay 50% of the balance 6 months prior, and full balance paid 8 weeks prior. We were able to pay as much or as little off whenever we wanted, you don't always have to stick to the set dates. Depending on numbers we have either as little as £400 or as much as £1000 left outstanding, but that is dependant on the amount of RSVPs we will get and how many people the church can hold. x

I don't think there is a typical time, as all venues have their own T&C's

We paid a £1000 deposit. 50% of the estimate price is due 90 days before the wedding with the remaining balance payable 14 days before the wedding date x

That's a big deposit flossie!
We paid a £400 deposit to secure our date, 25% a year before, 50% by 6 months before and the final balance a month before I believe. We've paid bits off when we had a large amount though and already paid up to the 50% (but like beximo said depends on how many people as to what we've got left)

I paid my deposit and the ndidnt have to pay the final balance until today actually. it was due about a month before but they had a change over of staff and didnt get my final meeting in until last week so its varied massively.
Its scary and exciting seeing all that money dissappear as it is the single most expensive thing i have paid out in a lump sum before.

We had to pay quite a large deposit (nearly 50%) and then we could pay as and when as long as we'd paid 12 weeks before xxx

It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

our deposit was quite large too at £950, which hurt at the time but it a big chunk out of the costs already which is nice! x

Payment must fully paid 2 weeks before and they said if I wanted to pay bits off sooner I could as some people find that easier :)
