Morning everyone! I'm kind of liking the idea of holding my wedding reception in an old traditional inn (think Mermaid Inn in Sussex). Does anyone have any suggestions of any which I might approach in NW England? Boundaries extend from Cheshire to Cumbria. Most of the family live in blackpool, so fairly central from that point if view, but others are coming from the South of England so needs to be fairly accessible transport wise. All ideas welcome, thank you :)

the best way for you would be to look on local councils websites to see which venues hold licenses to perform marriages
Thank you, Lala. I shall explore that avenue! I do apologise for the late reply - I went straight out to my very first wedding fayre immediately after posting, and it's taken quite some time to compute all the information! :) x

There are some brilliant deals to be had in the Chester area. Many are all Inc such ad photographer cake etc. Start on the council website as Lala said and go from there!

I know it is a little bit to the south of Cheshire but I used to work at Crewe Hall hotel and it is just stunning!! I used to love doing weddings there!! xxx
I went to a wedding at Chester Zoo last year and it was the best day and night ever!
When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours
we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying
weirdness and call it love, true love.
