My venue fell through today :-( they didn't realised it was double booked! Now desperately trying to find somewhere else :-( so sad it was the perfect location and exactly want we wanted :-(

Oh no. So sorry to hear that. Can you not perhaps look to postpone or book a different date? Id ask of they could offer another date with a discount to compensate for the changes you need to make?

The church is booked for that date as that date is significant to us both - I can only hope it's happened for a reason and something even more perfect is just round the corner - must keep positive :-)

awww this is horrible to read! could you not do another date at the same place? this happened to us, we provisionally booked the venue for our date and then when I rang them 3 days later to come down and pay our deposit they told me the date was gone!!! we booked for 2 days later and they've said they will throw some things in extra for us. could you not go back tell them how upset you are and maybe get an even better deal on a different date? I believe that everything happens for a reason chic xx

exactly the same happened to me, venue closed down!!!.. the venue we have now (2nd choice due to it being more expensive) is a lot prettier - backs onto the River Cam and has a lovely backdrop... stick to your guns and ask for compensation (I did, but don't be nasty just say how much you loved the place) - the original venue gave me compensation and that made the 2nd choice only £50 more expensive..

Sorry to hear this, I'm sure you will find something better, sometimes these things happen for a reason, I would definitely be asking for some compo for the inconvenience a stress they have caused, keep us posted.

I hope you find an alternative venue... Sounds like this first place is unreliable, so would be hesitant to change date just because they can't manage their diary!

I wouldnt consider reaaranging...if they have already let you down once by double booking I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole...you should write a formal complaint perhaps they will offer some compensation for your time now having to find somewhere else to go! Im sure you will find somewhere hun, use the council website for where you are getting married and work your way down their 'approved venues' list. GOOD LUCK!! xx
