I have veneers on my front teeth but I'd like my teeth to be as white as possible for my big day. I understand that whitening doesn't work on veneers, but I'm wondering if anyone else has veneers and if they have tried anything to brighten their teeth? My teeth would be ok to go a couple shades lighter without looking daft.

I have porcelain veneers and I find that they come up lovely just with a good scrub. Things like bicarbonate of soda toothpastes should help. Really your veneers shouldn't stain that badly compared to norml teeth.

I do use bicarbonate of soda but I'd really like to feel like my teeth are gleaming on my big day.

I read somewhere that the American beauty queens put Vaseline on their teeth to make them shine, not sure I could stand the taste though!

There are toothy tabs from Lush that are brilliant!! I get the sparkly ones and they really make a different and make your teeth feel really smooth.

I'm a dental assistant and there is nothing u can do to whiten ur veneers unless u have them removed and replaced with new ones , once the porclaine has set for the veneers then there is nothing else can be done , and unfortunately having this done will be costly but if it's something u really want done will be worth to whiten the teeth until ur happy and then have the veneers replaced . Sorry to be a downer on this and bi carbonate soda will make ur teeth pick more stain as is abrasive so once u stop using it u wil notice more stains so avoid that if u can hunni xxx

Yeh I had my veneers replaced last year, a couple shades lighter and dentist told me to just use a gel to whiten to original colour but I was just wondering if there was something else I could use.
