So i ordered my veil last year oct/nov time. about a month ago i emailed the shop to see if it was in as i hadn't heard anything. They said it wasn't but would let me know when it had arrived. I emailed again to say i was worried as hair trial was coming up and i needed it for that. No reply!! So emailed again this eve and they said it was still not in and didn't know when it would come in. I said i had thought it was 12 week so why was it not in and could they chase it up as i only had 2 weeks before my hair trial. They responded saying when they are ordered the wedding date is given and they usually arrive a month before the wedding. They said i could borrow one of their samples for my trial.
It is the same type of veil i am having but not the colour.
is what they have said normal?? I feel like i am being given excuses.

This is happening with my friend who is getting married in August so I think it is quite normal? I was given mine for free by the lady who owns the bridal shop where I have bought my dress as it is a one off piece so I don't know from my own experience, only from my friends xxx

Thanks for replying. Just makes me cross as they didn't know when it would be in then gave me a date.

I'm guessing that they probably didn't actually order it until you emailed them! xxx

I thought that. Hoping someone can tell me what they have said is not the usual practice with ordering veils.
Interesting point...will have to make sure i negotiate with the bridal shop about this!
And we lived happily ever after!

I think it's nice of them to let you borrow one. Shops only have so much storage space so I wouldn't be surprised if they place the order based on the wedding date and not as soon as they take your money.
