Hi I have ordered a lovely veil to go with my dress, i am getting married in a church. But i really cant decide whether to wear my veil over my face or not... what are other people thinking? has anyone been to a wedding recently what did they do? Any help would be really appreciated. Many Thanks Love gemma. xxx

I think you should do what makes you happy and what you are comfortable with. It is quite romantic that your h2b will be the first to see your face properly when he unveils you! I think that would be a lovely moment. xx

I'm not having it over my face because I want a good view as I walk down the aisle. And I want eveyone to see me smiling!!
Weddings I've been to have been a mix between veils over face and not.

And if you can't get contacts in yourself danilou an optician will insert them for you, you can get ones that you can wear for 30 days and even sleep in them, as last thing you want to be doing is popping down your opticians on the morning of your wedding! :)

It is whatever suits you isn't it, i am used to wearing contacts now so i don't look strange to myself anymore, lol, but you should be true to who you are and you will always look lovely. :)

I have got a veil and a tiara - but may not wear either now! I am not convinced that it will all be too much with my dress! Think you should do what you feel comfortable with! xx

I wasn't going to have a veil, then i tried one on the other day and changed my mind.
I won't wear it over my face though (not getting married in a church) as its not a very long veil and i won't be wearing my glasses so don't need anything else obscuring my vision lol.
I was however shocked at the price of them :O

Now you've got me thinking cos my h2b said that he pictured me coming down the aisle and him lifting my veil but he's much more romantic than I am and I just said oh people don't do that anymore and left it at that... but now that you guys are discussing it it makes me think I should've at least considered it. I think, do what you feel is right. x
CommentAuthorMrsCramb2Be

I was dead set against having a veil but then I decided to try one with my dress and it finishes off lovely so I'm having one now but not having it over my face as I'm having my hair up Mines only costin £8.00 so it doesnt matter if I dont keep it on long :-) x

Thanks for all your comments, i havent even asked my h2b what he wants, so i will ask him and see if he has an opinion, but i am quite swayed as to having it over my face. But when i get it and have my dress fitting i will see. Thnaks again. Love gemma. xx
