Woo Hoo I am going for my honeymoon (hopefully!) Just wondering where to stay - I am thinking Tropicana, Monte Carlo, Paris or Mirage? Any reviews welcome, I'm going to be there about 4 days.
The only thing Im not looking forward to is the smoke bluergh!
CommentAuthorLittle Kettle
I've not stayed at any of them, but they are all nice and central. Have you looked at reviews on tripadvisor?

Yes, its mixed bag really for all of them, and some people are so fussy, I think I will draw straws : )
Stayed at the Tropicana years ago so can't say much about what it'd be like now as they're always changing. With those kind of reviews I'd go with the one with the best deal, but that's just me.

After reading all of your comments what fantastic times you have had or going to have!
After being mucked around or having to cancel due to illness ect we decided on Vegas a couple of months ago.
we invited 8 of a nearest and dearest and 6 of those have booked flights :) instead of staying in a hotel we are staying in the most beautiful villa just off the strip! So the "holiday" part of Vegas the basics are there.
I have had great trouble choosing a chapel! We were going for the little chapel of flowers but after much contact with them i decided they were NOT the company for me. They were not able to accommodate anything and after arranging 2 weddings and they falling down the pan due to one reason or another! i am not compromising on ANYTHING.
The other Chapel I like was the little Chapel of the West. Does anyone have any views on this?
Other thing i have noticed is if you are not being picked up from the strip they won’t pick you up! Anyone can recommend a limo service? As im pretty sure Little Chapel of the West will not pick us up from the Villa.
We are off to the Gun Store for a 2 hour session of shooting and photos, anyone been here on here on your wedding day?
We have enquired about at meal at the stratosphere for the 8 of us, can anyone shed any light on if it is “private dining” or are you just in a restaurant type thing?
One of the pluses to Little chapel of Flowers is they help you sort the paper work you need. Has anyone done this themselves, how did you go about it?
Sorry for the massive message.
Oh one last thing, we are going to Hawaii for honeymoon after but im am having trouble looking at flights from Vegas to Hawaii? Any suggestions? Our friends are flying to vegas with BA and we would all like the same flight out. I have a feeling Virgin may be the best company for us from UK to Vegas to Hawaii to UK Any help again.
Thank you for your help. Claire x

The other Chapel I like was the little Chapel of the West. Does anyone have any views on this? - Not heard of them, sorry, but have you checked the website that 'advises on trips'?

As im pretty sure Little Chapel of the West will not pick us up from the Villa. - I'll give you the details of the limo co we used for our Sunset limo tour on the day of our wedding - they were great, really accomodating and all round fab.
We are off to the Gun Store for a 2 hour session of shooting and photos, anyone been here on here on your wedding day? Not on our wedding day, but hubby went here for his Stag do and did one of the themed shoots that they offer - possibly a zombie related one, knowing him LOL! He got a t-shirt to prove it :) He said they were great and it wasn't his first time there.
We have enquired about at meal at the stratosphere for the 8 of us, can anyone shed any light on if it is “private dining” or are you just in a restaurant type thing? Oh yes!!!! We went here. Food and service AMAZING! My only trouble was that I got motion sickness from the movement, so ended up being quite sick :( We got the set lunch menu for us which was about $50 odd a head, excluding wine. My uncle got the recommended wine list which was about $70pp, which was utterly unexpected and very very generous of him (there were 10 of us all together) - it included a glass of champagne each too. Book in advance but don't mention it's a wedding ;) They also do private dining rooms there, but they will cost you a fair bit - we worked it out and it just wasn't worth it. We had a 1pm booking and apart from a couple of other couples, it really wasn't that busy at all.
One of the pluses to Little chapel of Flowers is they help you sort the paper work you need. Has anyone done this themselves, how did you go about it? We did all our own paperwork. We gave notice at our local registry office, but turns out we didn't need to - worth checking this though! Then , when we got to Vegas, we went to Clark County Courthouse to get our license - can't remember exactly how much it was but not that much - you can prob check on their website. Then that was it - issued there and then (you'll need to take ID with you, so remember your passport and if either of you have been married before, you'll need your divorce papers too). Then on the day, hubby dealt with all that at the chapel as we were doing the traditional 'don't see the bride' thing, but he said he just gave the guy the license, he and our best man signed the register and then that was it! Simple.

No idea about the flights from Vegas to Hawaai, I'm afraid. We flew Virgin to Vegas and agree with Lala, they were great. They even stored my dress in the pilots cabin for extra safe keeping and gave us a mention as we were landing to wish us all the best.

If you need somewhere to dry clean/press your dress, let me know. I got a great dry cleaner out there who did a rush job (I'd emailed him weeks before the wedding to see if I could drop it off when we landed and have it back 2 days later) at a great price. They deliver it to your hotel room too.

Thats. Included in the package, steaming of the dress so that's handy... All I have to do is turn up by the sounds of it.. So much easier

Wow - that's great! We also did a sunset limo tour which was great. They picked us up at the front of the hotel and took us to all the famous spots - the Vegas sign, Treasure Island, the Bellagio Fountains, Freemont St.

Not quite the same, but in relation to flights to Hawaii, me and a friend went on a 'tour' taking in Orlando, Vegas and New York which we booked through Virgin. The flights from one city to another were internal, so say American Airlines, but Virgin arranged them all for us. I expect you can either ask them to sort flights from Vegas to Hawaii for you or im guessing you need to get onto Vegas airport and see which companies fly to Hawaii and book direct!

We keep doing and fringe over the reception venue as I love the ****31ff3l t0w3r and it looks so romantic but I don't like much on the menu-and doubt my guests will, it is all about the view!! So thinking maybe ****pr1m3 now, view is just as good but it is not the tower.
We are staying at the ***m@nd@1@y, got it all booked up now and narrowing dress search down
