    Hiya

We are planning on using our beautiful husky for our save the dates. A pic of what we are going to try and re create is in my pics. And a pic of Storm himself!

Anybody have any tips on how to make them wear the board round their necks and make them stay still??

My friend did this for her std and she said it was fun but took ages to get a good shot, I Spose it depends on how well trained your dog is x

If your husky is well trained, put your camera on a tripod and stand just to the side, holding a treat/toy and ask him to stay. You could get a new collar, and attach the board to it, and make it as light as you can, so it doesn't annoy him, as the last thing you want is just to throw something over his head on to his neck, and for him to fight it, and get it twisted and risk hurting himself. I'm a dog groomer and i've seen a perfectly trained dog go skitzo as soon as the grooming leash is around there neck, as it's different and they don't like it, but originally i did Photography at college so i always mix my photography with animals.

Dogs are a lot like kids. Keep it fun for him, praise lots and lots of treats for him. Get your partner to snap snap snap.

Also turn off flash. Dogs hate flash. So it's best doing it in a well lit room, with a makeshift studio, white background. And if you have any Photoshop skills brush it up afterwards.

we are doing this for our thank you cards. going to have one of our dog on the front and then put a pic of us inside the card. im getting one of those chalk hearts and put it round his neck. i think you just need to try it and see what happens. put it round his neck and then distract him with a treat. make him stay and then hold the treat by the camera so he looks at it.

our dog doesnt mind anything around his neck. thats where he keeps his frisby when we go on walks so we dont have to carry it lol - just give it a go you might be suprised. you could try putting stuff round his neck to get him used to it for a while e.g. scalfs neckerchiefs so he gets used to having something round his neck.

im going to try and get him to hold the sign in his mouth lol! think im gonna need some luck with that one lol xx

but we wouldnt be able to get us in the background of the pic tho. our dog has to be by our side constantly and wouldnt take his eyes off us if we sat down on the floor - he would probably have to sit in my lap instead lol crazy dog x

I've taken pics of my dog with glasses on, a bobble hat, all sorts haha.. If I want him to sit and look at the camera I tell him to still and then say 'chicken!' Which makes him do that cute up ear thingy lol.. Props, shall we say, don't bug him.. Xxx
